Kato Top Seed at Asian Buggy Championships Finale

Kouki Kato is the Top Seed at the season finale of the Asian Buggy Championships, the Japanese driver leading an Infinity 1-2 in Indonesia from fellow countryman Naoto Matsukura. Racing on the completely natural dirt West Side Raceway track which is proving a big hit with the visiting drivers, Kato set the fastest two consecutive laps in the single seeding round. The only driver to dip into the 40-second lap times, Kato ended up almost 1-second quicker than Matsukura over the 2-laps. A regular in the Asian Buggy Championships finishing on the podium at the previous round in Brisbane, Sworkz driver Christian Wolhuter opened his third race of the current season with a Top 3 time. Just 3/10th back on the Australian, Indonesia’s own Rama Tribudiman took his Kyosho to fourth fastest time, the local racer saying afterwards that the traction is completely different to what he used as a result of the large entry who have made the trip to Jakarta this weekend so bring a close to the second season of Scotty Ernst’s Asian Buggy Championships.

Willspeed B7 73mm Arm Wide Pivot C and D Block Set

Willspeed is now offering this 73mm Arm Wide Pivot C and D Block Set for the Team Associated RC10B7 2WD Buggy. That’s right, a wide pivot set to be used with the 73mm Wishbone from the B6 series.  This increases the pivot width +5mm each side (10mm total) and MUST be used in conjunction with the AE #91853 or #91873 73mm Rear Suspension arms.  When used in conjunction with AE #91853 or #91873 73mm Rear Suspension arms this retains the original kit B7 position of the outside (Hub) Hinge Pin.  This leaves the track width unchanged but gives the short arm, wide pivot setup. The wide pivot gives the car more on power steering and more stability when cornering and will allow the car to centre (square-up) faster coming through the last third of the turn as the driver is getting on power.  This product includes both C and D Blocks and must be used as a pair.  Both items follow design trends from our proven standard geometry parts. D block remains in Willspeed’s full brace fashion which has been highly popular for ultimate reliability.

Orlowski adds 1st 2WD Offroad European title

Michal Orlowski has added the EFRA 1:10 2WD European Championship title to his CV for the first time, the Schumacher/Hobbywing driver taking the win in Sweden where the championships are being hosted indoors for the very first time. The reigning 4WD European Champion would secure the overall TQ in Malmo topping 4 of the 5 rounds of qualifying. Schumacher team-mate Daniel Kobbevik took Q5 to secure P2 on the grid with Team Associated’s defending Champion Marcus Kaerup claiming 3rd ahead of the Xray’s of Bruno Coelho and David Ronnefalk. In the triple finals, Orlowski took A1 by almost 4 seconds over Norwegian Kobbevik as Ben Smith came through for third. A2 would be a much closer finish as Kaerup with the only 18-second lap of the race tried to force the fight to A3 but coming up 9/100ths short it was Orlowski who took A2 and the title. With a number of drivers in contention for the other podium placing in A3, it looked to be Kobbevik who would fill the second step but chased down by Kaerup, a mistake with 30-seconds to go, allowed Kaerup through for the win and runner-up spot. Kobbevik completed the podium ahead of Smith. Orlowski will now try to go for his first Euros double as the rest of the week switches to the 4WD title fight.

T-Works IFB8 Hard Coat Alu Axle Shafts | CF Upper Plate

More new aftermarket parts from T-Works for Infinity’s IFB8 1:8 Buggy with the release of Hard Coated Aluminium Front/Rear Axle Shafts and a carbon fibre Upper Plate. The Axle Shaft are made of high quality 7075-T6 aluminium alloy and hard anodised to provide high strength, light weight, and high transmission efficiency and durability. Each axle is approximately 4.9g lighter than the original factory axles. Also making the buggy ligther is the Lightweight carbon fibre material Upper Plate which is fitted on the front of the buggy, better protecting the front structure and improving driving performance.

1:14 specialist offroad kits producer LC Racing has released a new long wheel base optional aluminium chassis for its popular 1:14 2WD BHC-1 Buggy. With the upgrade to the longer wheel base chassis ideal for outdoor and/or low traction dirt/astro turf/carpet tracks, they have also released a revised longer body shell to go with the LWB Chassis. 1:10 Offroad World Champions limited edition poster

To commemorate the anniversary of the hosting of the 2023 IFMAR 1:10 Electric Offroad World Championships, StickitOne are releasing a limited edition poster of the Champions Wall that was featured during the event at Hobby Action RC Raceway. Having covered this event, Red RC is delighted to have been able to supply some of the images used on the wall and now the poster. 200 individually numbered 24×36″ prints featuring all past 1:10 Electric Offroad World Champions will be available, starting Wednesday September 25th at 12:00PM EST. $25 from each poster sold will be donated to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation (Arizona Chapter) in honour of 2-time World Champion Brian Kinwald. Pricing (shipping included) will be $89.99 each for US Orders and $109.99 each for International Orders. Posters will be distributed sequentially based upon the order in which they are purchased and are scheduled to begin shipping the first week of October.
