STRC release new Axial aluminium option parts

STRC release new Axial aluminium option parts

ST Racing Concepts have introduced new aluminium option parts for a range of vehicles including the SMT10, Yeti, RR Bomber and the SCX10 II. First up are the aluminium lower suspension link reinforcement plates. Designed for the use with the SMT10, Yeti and RR10 Bomber, the CNC-machined aluminium upper and lower link plates offer improved durability and looks. The plates bolt right on through the existing holes of the nylon lower links and greatly increase the durability and rigidity of the suspension. They reduce flex in the lower suspension links, allowing the suspension to soak up the bumps and jumps properly. Each pack features four aluminium plates that are in the same shape and profile as the plastic lower links with light weight cut-outs and all the necessary hardware to install them and they are available in blue, black, green, gun metal, and silver.

Malin Karlsen wins OMK Fall Classic Series Rd1

Malin Karlsen wins OMK Fall Classic Series Rd1

The opening round of the OMK Fall Classic Series for 2WD buggies was hosted by the Oslo R/C Car Club. The race series consists of eight rounds held in the evenings at the OMK track and the race format is three qualifiers and triple A-mains. Xray’s Malin Karlsen would take the pole position for the A-mains after some eventful heats. In the opening A-main Malin would then come out successful even after a bobble in the opening stages that cost her the lead but with swift laps and a bit of patience she was able to regain the lead and to take the win in A1. A2 then again was won by Malin who was closely chased by the second place driver but she would take the win after opening a gap on the field. A3 and the sun had settled meaning it would be colder and also a bit moist in some parts of the track. Sticking with her dry track tyre choice she again was the fastest car on the track, allowing her to take the leg win and with it the overall victory from Marius Kristensen (Serpent) in second and Steffen Larsen (Team Associated) in third.

Kaja Novotny doubles at Czech Nationals Rd5

Kaja Novotny doubles at Czech Nationals Rd5

Round five of the Czech 1/10th Electric Off-road Nationals was held at the Zabreh track last weekend. The organisers opted to sugar-treat the track right before the event but watering it on Saturday morning took away some of the traction, making things more interesting. In the 2WD class Xray’s Kaja Novotny took the overall TQ from Ales Bidovsky (Xray) and Marek Schiller (PR). The 4WD qualification was pretty much the same story as Kaja TQed every round with Ales Bidovsky coming in second and Marek Schiller in third.

Swedish National Cup Rd3 – Report

Swedish National Cup Rd3 – Report

Round three of the Swedish National Cup for 1/10th scale electric buggies was held at the new astro turf track in Karlskrona. The track was an open, flowing layout with some interesting jumps and a fairly low-grip surface. In 2WD local racer David Ronnefalk laid down an exhibition of great driving skills when he swept all qualification rounds as well as the two first A-mains to take the overall win. What was left for the others was to fight for the remaining podium spots. Alexander Landén qualified in third behind “Fredde” Mathiesen.

Malin Karlsen wins Grenland Championship Series Rd6

Malin Karlsen wins Grenland Championship Series Rd6

The sixth and final round of the Grenland 2WD Championship Series was recently held in Skien, Norway. Xray’s Malin Karlsen again made one of her last-minute entries but this would not stop her from dominating the field as she came out fastest after the qualifiers to line up on the 1 spot for the triple A-mains. The opening two A-mains then were a done deal for the swift girl who laid down the only 14-lap runs of the event, taking the overall win from the hard-chasing Team Associated duo of Mathias Fink and Oystein Doler.
