GForce shock rebound measuring tool

Coming soon from GForce is a simple on-road shock rebound measuring tool. Machined from aluminium and coming black anodised for wear and looks the stepped gauge helps to measure and adjust shock rebound from 1mm up to 11mm by simply sliding the compressed shock into the machined slot and reading the rebound value. The tool can also be used to set the rebound value by inserting the damper, keeping it at the designed value and then attaching the upper cap to bleed and set the shock. Laser-etched marking help with easy identification of the desired rebound value. The gauge is usable with most 1/8th and 1/10th on-road shock absorbers.

Gollner & Wurmhöringer win at Austrian EP Nats Rd5

The fifth round of this year’s Austrian Electric On-road Nationals was held at the LAMAC track in Carinthia last weekend. In the Touring Modified class the race for the win looked to be on between Patrick Gollner, Dominic Vogl and Sascha Klug. Right from the start it was Patrick who set the pace with Dominic and Sascha close behind. It also looked like Patrick would dominate the opening A-main also but in the penultimate lap Patrick’s car lost drive which allows Sascha to close up and eventually take the win while Patrick was lucky enough that the remainder of the drivers weren’t able to make the extra lap. Dominic, also in the mix after the qualifiers, had his own problems as he took the exit on the straight too optimistically.

Avid Triad 17mm capped brass wheel nuts

Coming from Avid are their new capped 17mm brass wheel nuts for 1/8th off-road vehicles. The heavy brass wheel nuts are designed to help generate a little more traction in slippery and loose conditions. They will also raise the driver’s confidence that they will never come off with our aggressive serration. The brass nuts weigh 6g each instead of 2g which will aid in more traction while the capped design protects the end of the hubs, keeping dirt out. The nuts come laser etched with three small A’s and the large AV logo in the center, which are protected from being scratched off. The unique Triad 3-cornered nut uses common 17mm wheel wrenches and with their M12x1.0 fine thread they fits all modern 1/8th scale off-road and GT kits.
