Xray XB8 71.5mm rear shock shafts

Coming from Xray and made for their XB8 series of buggies are 71.5mm rear shock shafts. 4mm longer than the standard parts the shock shafts allow for increased droop which comes handy especially on bumpy surfaces. The parts are made of high-tensile steel and feature super-smooth finish for best possible suspension efficiency. The shafts come in sets of two.

Gimar short & super short 1/8th on-road manifolds

German Gimar distributor RCCar24.com has announced the release of new short and super short 1/8th on-road manifolds. The somewhat strange looking manifolds will improve top end power, however they are known for being quite noisy so they might be prohibited at tracks or events that run a noise restriction policy.

Performa Racing waterproof crawler brushless combo

Performa Racing have announced the release of their new waterproof brushless speed controller and motor combo for trail trucks and crawlers. The set includes the new Limited Red Rock Edition Radical Crawler motor and the new Radical Crawler controller. A specialised sensor technology and a crawler special staggered pole rotor deliver a new level of speed accuracy for uphill, downhill, and super slow crawling conditions. The Radical Technology provides ultra-smooth throttle control without cogging and allows precise deceleration when going down steep inclines. Included is a waterproof switch and waterproof sensor harness, making the Radical Crawler Combo water friendly so owners can enjoy the most extreme crawling adventures. The controller is set up so it can be used right out of the box and for owners that like to experiment and fine tune for ultimate control, 14 parameters can be adjusted using the electronic switch or with an optional program box. The Radical Crawler Controller is compatible with other sensored, sensorless, or brushed motors and both the ESC and motor are also available separately.

Ronald Völker wins at Central Division TOS

A round of the Central Division Tonisport Onroad Series was held at the MBSC Wächtersbach club last weekend, attracting some very high class entries. In the Touring Modified class it was Yokomo’s Ronald Völker with a clean sweep in the qualifiers which secured him the pole position for the triple A-mains events from 2nd placed Lucas Urbain (Awesomatix). Ronald was able to conserve his qualifying performance in the finals and with wins in all three A-main legs he secured the overall victory as Lucas followed on the runner-up spot with three 2nd place finishes. Tamiya driver Dai Sakaguchi came in 3rd to round out the podium.

Tamiya M-08 alloy shafts & front suspension mount

Coming soon from Tamiya are more M-08 option parts for the M-08 Concept M-class kit. First up is a 3-piece aluminium shaft set that was designed to replace the standard steel items for lower weight parts. The hard-anodised alloy shafts scrub about 5.8g of weight with the hard surface coating ensuring exceptional durability. Included in the set are the centre, counter and idler gearbox shafts. Also new is a 0 degree front suspension mount as a direct replacement for the plastic B9 kit part. The mount is machined from high-quality aluminium and it comes blue anodised for wear and looks. Using the part will improve overall rigidity, precision and car handling.

Arredondo & Butterfield double at JBRL EP Series Rd3

Control Chaos Raceway of Palmdale, California hosted round 3 of the JBRL Electric Off-road Series last weekend. Tekno RC’s Carlos Arredondo took the overall TQ in 2WD Open Buggy and he also came out on top after the single 6-minute A-main event, taking the win a lap in front of the TLR duo of Sammy Moran and Brendon Larrowe.

Team Bomber YRX12 carbon fibre chassis stiffener

Team Bomber from Japan have announced the release of a carbon fibre chassis stiffener plate for the Yokomo YRX12 1/12th on-road pan car and their own YR12XX conversion kit. The plate is machined from high-quality carbon fibre and it mounts under the central damper post, reinforcing the chassis in longitudinal direct for improved pitch stiffness and thus better acceleration and corner speed. The item is a direct fit and available very soon.
