Hampus Berg wins at Swedish Buggy Nationals Rd1

Round 1 of the Swedish 1/8th Buggy Nationals was held at the Botkyrka MK club near Stockholm. Changing weather conditions made things challenging for the drivers and it was Niclas Mansson who took the TQ after the qualifiers with Pontus Larsson and Elias Johansson sitting in 2nd and 3rd respectively. During the semifinals it started to rain which set the stage for an entertaining main final. At the start, Nille got away in the lead, but then his engine stopped and he lost the 1st place while Hampus Berg and Elias Johansson had a long battle with Jessica Palsson just a couple of seconds behind. Just before last pit stop Elias flamed out which made way for Hampus Berg who brought home the win in front of Jessica and Pontus.

PR Racing S1 V3R Evo 2WD buggy kit

Coming soon from PR Racing is the S1 V3R Ev0 2WD buggy kit. The main focus has been to make the car smoother and easier to drive on track, and this has been achieved with a revised 2.5mm thick -5mm length 7075 aluminium chassis. In addition new insert-type hangers have been introduced, and in conjunction with the chassis design allow for much lower rear roll centre, keeping the car much flatter on track with smoother rotation. New Ackerman geometry, and new CNC rear hubs with longer link positions also improve on track driveability. A new motor mount has been produced to lower the motor 2mm into a recess in the chassis, and makes a particular difference on today’s high grip tracks. In addition to all the geometry and mechanical changes, the V3R Evo has been treated to a new body, designed to look sleek and offer more steering with its much larger forward mounted cabin. The kit comes with a host of optionals such as CNC alloy servo mount, 4 degrees alloy caster blocks, front camber plates, vented slipper plates, a swaybar set and 34T alloy idler gear and it will hit stores in June.

Fenix Mistral 2-0 formula car kit

Fenix have introduced their new Mistral 2-0 1/10th scale formula car kit. A radical departure from the current formula car design the Mistral 2-0 is the first kit to utilise a V-link, better known as quad-link design rear suspension. The rear V-links allow to adjust the chassis’ roll centre for improved overall traction and better adjustability to a variety of track conditions. Also up front Fenix decided to go a different route with the design allowing to use static or dynamic caster adjustments for a more aggressive steering. The kit will become available with a ball or gear differential, allowing to pre-set the car for low or high grip conditions.
