DMS Partz SBX-410 brass centre chassis stiffener brace

Coming from DMS Partz is a 45 gram brass centre chassis stiffener brace for the Corally SBX-410 buggy. The weight replaces the stock plastic kit rear chassis stiffener brace and adds weight to the rear of the buggy, giving a better ride on bumpy or rutted tracks. The weight also helps to keep weight centralised on the chassis in between the LiPo battery and motor.

Performa Racing D819 shock caps & bladder set

Coming from Performa Racing and made in cooperation with Fast Race are new upper shock caps for the HB Racing D819 buggy. Machined from aluminium and coming black anodised the shock caps include special bladders that ensure a more consistent handling, they add landing stability and also optimise acceleration out of corners. The caps and bladders come in sets of two caps and two bladders.

Tamiya Lunch Box Mini – Coming soon

Tamiya have released a first image of their forthcoming Lunch Box Mini monster truck. Designed with entry-level modellers in mind, the body comes pre-cut and pre-painted with the truck using 1/10th scale tyres for a monstrous appearance. Full details will become available during the forthcoming Shizuoka Hobby Show in Japan.

RC-Project S35-3 Valente Edition shock pins

Coming from RC-Project and made for the SWorkz S35-3 series vehicles are the Valente Edition 7075-T6 Ergal lower shock pins. Machined from high-quality material and coming with a hard surface finish for wear, the lower shock mounting pins reduce unsprung weight while offering exceptional durability at the same time. The pins are directional, coming with left and right hand threads to prevent them from becoming loose during operation. The pins can be fixed using a 2.5mm hex or 5.5mm socket wrench and they are available now.

Nacho Lopez wins at Spanish 1/8th IC Track opener

The opening round of the Spanish 1/8th On-road Nationals was held at the Automodelismo Autet club in Valencia last weekend. In the 1/8th IC Track class it was Victor Gonzalez with the TQ from Nacho Lopez in 2nd. In the 45-minute A-main however it was Nacho who would lead the way, taking the win some five laps in front of Luis Cayetano Delgado and Juan Miguel Delgado. TQ holder victor had to settle for 10th overall.

Max Götzl sweeps SMRC club race

The Austrian SMRC club held a club race last weekend. The event saw a somewhat different race format with only two qualifiers, 20 minutes long for the 2WD class while the 4WD and Truck qualifiers were held over ten minutes. The final grid was decided by the best three consecutive laps. Max Götzl took the TQ in all three classes with the 2WD top 3 being made up by Martin Fischer and Manfred Resch while Antonia Kovalzski and Roland Hauleitner came in 2nd and 3rd respectively in the 4WD class. The finals then were run over eight minutes in 2WD and six minutes in 4WD and Truck.

Norwegian Touring Nationals Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the Norwegian Touring Nationals was held in wet conditions at the Helganes Motorsports Centre in Karmøy. With several entrants pulling out due to the weather conditions, only 6 drivers made up the Modified qualifiers, that already from the start seemed to be a battle between Øyvind Stusdal and Nikolai Håheim. As the rain had been pouring down during the night, and the rain showers were expected to continue during the day, the race officials decided to declare it a wet race, and the track was indeed very wet. Stussdahl took Q1, five seconds ahead of Håheim, before Håheim fought back in Q2 securing the heat. An unfortunate mechanical error set an early stop for Stusdal in Q3, securing Håheim the TQ. The remainder of the participants struggled heavily with the conditions.

Blitz Delta 225mm wheelbase M-class body shell

Blitz have introduced their new Delta body shell for the ever popular 1/10th M-class on-road cars. Designed for 225mm wheelbase chassis the body resembles a famous 1990’s rally car and it features an add-on roof wing for scale looks and increased performance and stability. The lid is moulded from high-quality 0.8mm thickness polycarbonate and it comes including window masks and a detailed decal sheet.
