JConcepts T6.1 F2 truck body shell

JConcepts’ popular F2 buggy body shell design is now also available for the Team Associated T6.1 stadium truck. One of the key features is an arrow based design where the front is much narrower than the rear. While viewed from the top down, the F2 body has increased clearance in the front-end for tyres shown to rub against the stock body during hard cornering or while running in high-traction conditions. The narrower front-end appears on-point and with an all-new grille and headlight layout with four included grille options. The imprint of the nose draws in the truck enthusiast without giving up on the futuristic twist and Finnisher heritage. Protecting the front shock tower area is done with a traditional shape but contains new louver positioning and available air-release features located just in front of the main cab. The cab is important, not only for performance but to set off the F2 design with angular roof and parallel window design. The popular dual side-window treatment has been once again incorporated into the design for maximum coverage. The new body includes the traditional Finnisher “V step-downs” in the bed area which makes it identifiable to the savvy racer. Rear shock tower humps allow plenty of clearance for a front or rear shock configuration which is a common adjustment on the T6.1 race truck. The tail of the body has been lowered with an upper and lower transition making the rear a more durable piece even with light-weight materials. The F2 includes two spoilers, one for high-bite conditions and another taller version for low or medium bite conditions. The spoilers are durable and with proper trimming and included hardware bolt directly to the back of the new shell. A slight flare to each wheel well gives some structure and rigidness to the panels and fine details the design. Between the wheel wells an F2 specific, double drop treatment has been chiseled and tucked into the hourglass shape of the rear-end. The double drop blends into a rocker panel body line which provides some stability to the layout and provides that all-important chassis clearance. As usual the body comes made of clear high-quality polycarbonate and including overspray film and window masks.

Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer Pro-Scale LED light kit

Coming from Traxxas and made for the Unlimited Desert Racer is the Pro-Scale High Intensity LED light kit. The included Traxxas High Voltage Amplifier packs the muscle to efficiently power the 204 individual LEDs in the kit while minimising losses from excessive current and heat. The tightly regulated output provides stable lighting performance, without flickering or dimming as the battery voltage changes. In another Traxxas first, the smart brake lights work when brakes are applied in both forward and reverse directions. This eliminates the common problem with generic aftermarket systems that turn on the brake lights while reversing. The kit includes dual straight LED bumper-mounted LED light bars, a curved roof light bar, multifunction red and amber brake light/class light bar, a high-voltage 8-channel power amplifier for intense, brilliant LED lighting, and a regulated output for stable lighting performance with no flickering or dimming as the battery voltage changes. Rather than draw valuable power away from the BEC, the power amplifier uses the Power Port on the VXL-6s ESC to tap power directly from the batteries. The power amplifier transforms and regulates battery current to for reliable high-power performance. Three different lighting modes on the amplifier let owners control which lights illuminate. The Traxxas Link App helps to further customise the lighting modes to the required specifications or to turn the lights on and off directly in the app. The kit includes all mounting hardware to make installation a breeze. The LED Light Bar Kit comes as a complete set or as individual components allowing Desert Racer owners to select the exact setup to meet their needs.

At this time Gerhard Kandelhart was leading the race closely followed by Herfried Pucher who recovered after a difficult weekend and found back to speed in the final. After 15 minutes, Pucher took over the lead until the 30-minute mark where the leading cars of Pucher and Mihelic decided to change the outside tyres only. In this phase Mihelic recovered from the difficulties in the beginning and closed the gap to Pucher. Israeli Nitro Buggy Championship Rd8 – Report

The 1/8th Nitro Buggy season in Israel has come to an end with the recent round 8 of the championship. Held at the Negev Speed Racing track it was a super hot affair with temperatures reaching up to 34 degrees Celsius. After the four qualifying rounds Yaniv Sivan took the TQ honours and he also got the hole shot at the start of the A-main. Yaniv was closely followed by Aviv Maymon in 2nd and when Sivan made a small mistake it promoted Maymon into the lead. What followed was a forth and back for several times until Aviv suffered a flameout which cost him a position that was taken by Or Balulu who in turn also suffered engine issues. This promoted Tal Siles to 2nd and Dvir Hirak to 3rd. From there the top 3 positions remains the same until the checkered flag.
