RC Cars Cavalieri from Germany have announced the release of a carbon fibre arm insert set for the TLR 8ight-X buggy. The kit includes four precision-machined 1mm carbon fibre inserts for the front and rear lower arms that will add rigidity when running in high-bite or high-temperature conditions. Also includes is the needed mounting hardware, making the set a direct fit.

Creation Model have announced the signing of Swedish electric on-road ace, Viktor Wilck to their factory team. The former Serpent driver, who claimed back-to-back podium finishes at the most recent Electric Touring Car World Championships in South Africa, joins former team-mate Marc Rheinard, Akio Sobue and Yannic Prumper to further strengthen the Japanese manufacturer’s Touring Car programme. A multiple ETS race winner, Wilck will make his race debut with the team at the second round of the championship in Daun, Germany, next month as they strives to add the Euro Touring Series title to their IF14’s list of achievements. Commenting on his move to the Reedy Race and TITC winning manufacturer, Wilck said:

SWorkz have introduced the Jörn Neumann Edition Worlds rear end conversion kit for the S35-3 1/8th off-road buggy. The set includes new rear lower arms, rear uprights, wheel hex adapters and several other parts that help to increase the buggy’s rotation in tight and twisty tracks, such as the 2018 IFMAR Worlds track in Perth, Western Australia. Using the parts will free-up the rear end while adding steering and while the set is the go-to solution on smaller, tighter tracks, it is better to stay with the usual setup on normal tracks, according to SWorkz’s Jörn Neumann. The set is a direct fit with everything included for the conversion and it is available now.
Following his departure from 1/8th off-road chassis sponsors Serpent, Japanese top driver Shin Adachi has announced a new deal with Mugen for 2019. The Yokomo engineer will campaign Mugen’s MBX8 platform at all major national and international races. We have yet to receive the official press release from Mugen but in the meantime Shin had the following to say:

The annual Köngen Indoor Masters was held in Köngen, Southern Germany this past weekend. SWorkz’s Micha Widmaier was on fire again, taking the overall TQs and wins in both 2WD Modified Buggy and 4WD Modified Buggy. Yokomo’s Luca Rau came in 2nd in front of Team Associated driver Kim Sitensky. Over in 4WD it was again Luca Rau with the runner-up spot as Xray’s Jens Becker rounded out the top 3.
Muchmore have announced the signing of US top driver, Randy Caster to their international racing team. Randy is well known for his 1up Racing brand and recently left long-time sponsors Team Associated and Reedy to race for Yokomo and now also Muchmore. Randy will campaign the company’s Fleta series motors and speed controllers as well as the Impact series batteries and he has the following to say:

Multiple World Championship finalist, Silvio Hächler, is entering the 1/8th nitro on-road market with his own brand and the new O.S. based R21 Hasi Tuned 3.5cc engine. Made to the exact same specifications Silvio utilised in China last November where he TQ’d the SIGP race, the engine is based on the latest O.S. R21 Euro Spec variant and it is available only as combo set including the M2001SC manifold and T-2080SC exhaust pipe. The engine is professionally tuned, offering a differently timed crankshaft, modified case and sleeve. The specifications aim to increase end speed on large tracks, giving extra power over the whole RPM range. The easily recognisable engines come with a modified cooling head and they are pre-run-in in order to offer uncompromised performance on the track.
