Samix SCX10 II short brass front bumper mount

Samix’s recently introduced short front bumper mount with adjustable servo mount is now also available in a brass variant. The part adds about 100g of weight to the front end of the truck while also relocating the steering servo to the front which as a result greatly improves climbing performance of the vehicle. Of a short design the front overhang is reduced by about 4mm, further increasing the trucks ability to master tough terrain. The brass front bumper mount comes black coated for looks and wear and it includes aluminium servo washers for tight and secure servo mounting.

BRCA GT12 National Rd3 & Rd4 – Report

At the weekend, the BRCA GT12 contenders made their way to Sheffield for rounds 3 and 4 of the 2018/19 National championships. Sheffield RC Racing were hosting the event which had previously been known as Swifts Raceway before it had merged with another club. The new team had prepared an excellent track for the event with a good balance of technical and fast sections to test the racers. Qualifying started a little rocky for the current championship leader Andy Murray after missing the practise round. After that he was unstoppable, Mark Jewitt would line up behind him after a strong last round run. Scott Morton was the racer on point in GT2. Matthew Cook and David Underwood would line up behind him. The unseeded Graeme Dick lead the way in GT3, that was until he accepted early promotion into GT2. This left current championship leader Ian Diboll to take the TQ spot for the third time this season.

Highest B200 & B210 brushless servos

Korean company Highest has introduced two new servos in the form of the B200 and B210 standard size brushless high-voltage servos. Both are housed in an all-aluminium case, they sport highly efficient brushless motors, full metal gear trains and black receiver wires for a professional look. The B200 is capable of up to 26.1kg-cm of torque and a speed of down to 0.08s while the B210 pulls up to 31.1kg-cm of torque at a speed of down to 0.09s.

Ruddog heavy duty LiPo charging bag

Ruddog Distribution have announced their new heavy duty 180x80x80mm LiPo charging bag. The large pouch offers lots of space for up to three standard-size 25mm battery packs, up to four ultra low profile 19mm batteries or single 4S brick batteries. Made from a fire-resistant fibre material the bag ensures safe storage, transportation or charging of LiPo battery packs with pouches like these being mandatory for most indoor and outdoor tracks. The black colour bag sports a white, printed Ruddog logo and it is available from now on.

Xray Racing Series Poland Rd3 – Report

The third round of the Xray Racing Series Poland took place last weekend. The race was considered the biggest indoor event in Poland and it attracted 170 drivers in total to race on a high-grip EOS carpet track. The layout was pretty fast with quick jumps and the race attracted some special guests such as Michal Orlowski, Jörn Neumann and Adam Izsay with all three showing some crazy fast laps. The race was held in six different classes including 1/14th scale open with the smaller buggies and trucks doing really good on the 1/10th scale track. In the 2WD and 4WD Modified classes the pace was set by Michal Orlowski (Schumacher) in the qualifiers, however come the finals, Jörn Neumann (Schumacher) stepped up his game and took the wins in both classes. Behind Michal it was Bartłomiej Kramża (Schumacher) who would round out the 2WD Modified top 3.

PHub Magic Grip on-road traction compound

Coming from PHub is their new “pink” Magic Grip traction compound for on-road rubber tyres. Tested by top-level drivers like Ronald Völker, David Ronnefalk and Viljami Kutvonen the tyre sauce will offer the highest possible traction without having to fear traction rolling. It is usable on a wide range of track conditions, ranging from low to high grip with the overall amount of grip available being adjusted by the application time before run. Applied ten minutes before a run the traction compound is is ideal for high-grip tracks while extending the application time to 20 minutes will make it suitable for low grip tracks. The tyre sauce comes in handy 60ml bottles and it is available from this weekend’s DHI Cup in Denmark.

Infinity IF18 optional long muffler stay

Infinity has released a new optional Long Muffler Stay for their World Championship winning IF18. To cater for the variety of exhaust/manifold lengths and shapes available to racers, it is 10mm longer than the original kit muffler stay.
