Hot Race Tyres sign Cole Ogden

Hot Race Tyres from Italy have announced the signing of top US driver Cole Ogden to their team. The HB driver has inked a 2-years contract and while running their products at events around the world, he will also assist with product development and trackside support, offering help to all US costumers on the track together with TJ Bradley and Wallace Motorsports. Cole says:

I’m extremely honored to be apart of team HotRace for the next 2 years. I’m excited for the new journey to begin, and I can’t wait showcase what HotRace tyres are capable of. Knowing i have a motivated group of guys backing me, as well as quality products, this could be the thing takes me to a whole new level of competition.

2019 Jake’s RC Pro-AM Showdown – Announcement

Jake’s RC Pro-AM of Topeka, Kansas will be holding their 8th annual Pro-AM Showdown from March 1st to 3rd. The dirt off-road race expects 200+ entries for the various Modified and Stock Buggy, Stadium Truck and SC Truck classes with Friday being a full day of practice followed by four rounds of qualifying on Saturday and single main events on Sunday. Schumacher Indoor Masters Rd4 – Report

Last weekend was the fourth round of the hugely popular Worksop Series, there was once again a fantastic entry of 165 drivers across the three classes of 2WD, 4WD and the vintage buggy class. As always it was round by round qualifying as the racing format, with the best two results from four rounds of qualifying counting towards the final position. Qualifying in 2WD saw a dominating performance by Neil Cragg, taking TQ in three out of the four rounds to take pole position from Craig Collinson and Jonathan Skidmore.

Yeah Racing M07 & M05 carbon fibre shock towers

Yeah Racing have released a range of carbon fibre shock towers for the Tamiya M07 and M05 kits. Available for the M07 are front and rear shock towers for standard length shock with the parts coming separately or as convenient combo set. Also made for the M07 is a dedicated combo set to utilise short TRF shocks. For the M05 come shock towers for standard length shocks – again separately for the front or rear or as combo set. All include precision machined carbon fibre shock stays and all necessary – steel and aluminium – hardware. Using the carbon shock towers will greatly improve suspension precision and efficiency due to them being much stronger than the standard plastic parts.

T-Works ZX7 aluminium centre driveshafts

T-Works have announced the release of 7075 aluminium centre driveshafts for the Kyosho Lazer ZX7 4WD buggy. The dogbones are machined from high-quality 7075-T6 aluminium and they come black anodised for looks and durability. The driveshafts are available as complete set or as separate front and rear items.

Exotek EB410 alloy rear spray bar mount

New from Exotek is a 6061 aluminium rear swaybar mount for the Tekno EB410 buggy. The simple and precise sway bar mount allows to run the popular rear end setups that use the shocks forward and arms reversed. It uses the stock hardware and requires the use of the #TKR6583C shock towers with camber mounts. The part comes polished and glossy anodised for a factory look.

OfficinaRC Forza diff hardness tester

Coming from OfficinaRC, a new project of Monaco RC, is the Forza diff hardness tester. The device is meant to be the smallest diff tester to date and it was developed especially for 1/10th and Mini-Z size vehicles. The taster is powered via any USB output and it comes including a 1/10th scale compatible adapter with a Mini-Z-style coupler being available separately. Its design allows to measure diff hardness of both installed and stand alone units and thanks to its compact 86x38x29mm dimensions and the low weight of 85g it is easy to store and transport.

Reds Racing WR5 Italia Limited Edition engine

Reds Racing have announced the release of their new WR5 Italia Limited Edition engine. The power plant is based on the WR5 Black Diamond engine and it utilises a sleeve with five inlet ports and exhaust port with boosters, guaranteeing low fuel consumption and smooth power delivery. The new engine is suitable for all grip conditions, from low to high, thanks to its optimised power curve. Other features include the new VCX3 carburettor for improved idle stability and tuning options thanks to a new 3-needle design. It also offers an improved mid to top range power curve with smooth response thanks to a special low speed needle and mid range spray bar. Extra tuning on the crankshaft carried out by Mario Rossi ensures improved power and better performance while the glossy black cooling head with Italian flag colours round out the package.
