Roche P12 Evo 1/12th scale pan car kit

Available soon from Roche is the P12 Evo 1/12th scale pan car kit. The 2018 European Stock, Masters of Foam and BRCA Championship winning car comes with a newly designed 2.0mm 7075 aluminium main chassis and rear pod plate while the updated 7075 aluminium low centre of gravity motor mount ensures a lower overall CG. The new design graphite top and rear pod plate are compatible with the gear diff weight balancing system and the aluminium floating servo mount us mini and micro size compatible for 28-31mm and 31-33mm servos. Other new parts include a bell crank steering system with 6-step Ackermann adjustment, new design carbon fibre lower arms and a newly developed aluminium front bulkhead with long/short wheelbase adjustment The kit is rounded out by a new carbon fibre front bumper and a large foam bumper.

Pro-Line 1965 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 body shell

Pro-Line have announced the soon release of the 1965 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser clear body for the 12.8” wheelbase Traxxas TRX-4. This single piece body is very light for a lower centre of gravity and improved crawling performance and is designed to drop right onto the stock 12.8” wheelbase TRX-4. Window masks, paint-then-peel overspray film and fully licensed detailed stickers are included to finish off the look.

Caroli & Laubscher crowned SA 1/12th champions

The 2018 season of the South African On-Road Electric National Championship for the 1/12th scale class recently concluded and it was Xray’s Antonio Caroli who managed to retain the Modified class title. Antonio took the overall win following a great battle with Marius van Niekerk (Xray) on the runner-up spot as Shaun Schutte (Xray) rounded out the top 3 results.

Spektrum SR515, SR315 & SR215 DSMR sports receivers

Spektrum have introduced their new SR515, SR315 and SR215 DSMR sports class receivers. Built around frequency-agile DSMR technology, the receivers deliver superb range and response, especially in noisy RF environments where a solid 2.4GHz link is crucial. Not only is the 2.4GHz link solid, all models also implement Spektrum’s fast 5.5ms frame rate, providing a quicker, low-latency connection for the pro-level enthusiast. The SRx15 series receivers also feature a new, modern case design that is small, streamlined, and ready for nearly any RC application. The case also features added antenna support and an integrated antenna tube slot for seamlessly easy installation. An easy-to-use bind button is used to enter the bind mode. Plus, while binding, owners have the choice of SmartSafe as well as preset ‘Gas’ failsafe options. The receivers are available as SR515 5-channel, SR315 3-channel and SR215 2-channel variants from December.

Team Associated FT 16mm tapered shock pistons

Coming from Team Associated are the new Factory Team 16mm tapered shock pistons for the RC8B3.1 and RC8T3.1 series of buggies and trucks. The tapered profile and angled holes of these new shock pistons improve handling through bumps and make the car jump flatter and land better. The angled holes also allow to run lower oil weights to generate more grip. They are precision CNC-machined for the best fitment and concentricity with the shock body to improve performance and consistency. The hole diameter os engraved onto piston for easy identification and there are two diameters to choose from: 1.2mm and 1.3mm. The pistons fit the Fits 16mm shock bodies on the RC8B3.1, RC8B3.1e, RC8T3.1, and RC8T3.1e.

Pro-Line MBX8T Night Hawk body shell

Coming from Pro-Line is the new Night Hawk truggy body shell for the Mugen MBX8T kit. From the mind of Adam Drake and inspired from the success of the Enforcer, the Nighthawk retains the aggressive stance of the Enforcer but adds in some sleek, modern truck styling. It features a swooping roof and bed sections for improved airflow and high-speed stability. The hood of the body is steeper to create more down force over the front wheels for more steering and faster lap times. The body comes made from clear polycarbonate and includes window masks and a decal sheet.

Arrowmax 7.4V 6200mAh Si-Graphene low-profile battery

Arrowmax have introduced their new red series 6200mAh Si-Graphene technology low-profile LiPo battery pack for touring car applications. Measuring 139mmx47mm and being 22.5mm tall the pack is lower than conventional 25mm packs for a lower overall centre of gravity while the high-performance 65C/130C promise a lower drop of of voltage over the run compared to charging LiHV packs to a standard 8.4V. The pack is good for the use with both modified and stock motors due to its exceptional punch.
