Tamiya TT-01E ProMarkt Zakspeed AMG Mercedes

Coming soon from Tamiya is the ProMarkt Zakspeed AMG Mercedes on the TT-01E entry-level 4WD chassis. The proven shaft-driven chassis is the base for the re-release 1994 Zakspeed AMG body shell that is equipped with additional parts such as mirrors, rear wing, windscreen wiper, chrome-plated grille and Mercedes star. It is understood that the kit will include the TBLE-02S speed controller that is capable of using both brushed and brushless motors.

Manuel Iniesta wins Levante regional champs

The Levante regional championship concluded last weekend and it was Mugen’s Manuel Iniesta who took the win and the overall title. The RC Roldan track played host to the race with the Kyosho duo of Oscar and Bryan Baldo competing the top 3 results behind winner Manuel.

Xpress XM1S carbon fibre option parts

Xpress have released new carbon fibre option parts for their XM1S M-class 4WD touring car. Available are a 2.25mm bottom chassis plate, a 2.0mm upper deck, as well as 3.0mm front and rear shock towers. All are machined from high-quality graphite material and they are made as a direct replacement for the standard FRP parts. Using the carbon items will greatly improve rigidity and precision as they reduce overall flex in the chassis and suspension area, resulting in more consistent handling especially in high-bite track conditions.

JConcepts A1R 190mm touring car body – Coming soon

JConcepts have released first images of their forthcoming new A1R body shell for 190mm touring cars. Designed by Paul Wynn the body sports a sleek front end design with the front wheel arch section allowing for a wide body placement window in order to fine-tune the lid’s characteristics. Sweeping rear fenders, and a trunk lid with build-in spoiler section round out the package. The body already prove its performance by winning the Pro Mod and Expert 17.5T Stock classes at the recent opening round of the 2018/2019 FSEARA Asphalt Series in Florida.

Vera & Marasco win at FSEARA Asphalt Series Round 1

Host of the 2016 ROAR Nationals, Valkaria RC Raceway, is a staple in the Florida on-road racing community and this past weekend they hosted round 1 of the 2018/2019 FSEARA Asphalt Series. With 89 entries on hand, racing was fast and fierce. In the Pro Mod class veteran racer Dave Vera took the win, from Austin Wolf in 2nd and Paul Wynn in 3rd.

Exotek hex wrench identification collar set

Exotek have released a set of mini identification collars for hex wrenches such as the ones from Hudy, Protek or Team Associated. These collars help to quickly locate the needed size and they are designed for the most popular sizes including 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm and 3.0mm metric wrenches. They include 2mm holding set screws and work with all 1.5mm, 2.0mm and 2.5mm wrench shafts of 3mm diameter and the 3.0mm shafts of 3.5mm diameter.

Jarno Pijpers doubles at NRC Cup

The Mach-One astro turf track in Helmond, The Netherlands played host to a round of the NRW Cup this past weekend. In the Nitro Buggy class Carsten Keller took the overall TQ while in the Electric Buggy class it was Jarno Pijpers who was in 1st place after the qualifiers. Following the semifinal it was Jarno with the pole position for the Nitro A-main and right from the start he was able to build a gap on Carsten who had bad luck in his semifinal. Ultimately Jarno Pijpers (SWorkz) was able to bring home the win from Carsten Keller (Mugen) in 2nd and Collin Meijer (Serpent) in 3rd. The Electric class had Jarno Pijpers (SWorkz) taking another pole position with Sander van Genechten (Xray) on the 2 spot on the grid. After the start Jarno and Sander would pull away from the rest off the field. Sander would follow Jarno for a few minutes, but Sander made a mistake and Jarno would open a gap to take the win from Sander in 2nd and Tim Donk (Team C) on the 3 spot.
