Carisma Racing 4XS alloy C-hubs

Carisma Racing have introduced new aluminium C-hubs for the 4XS 1/10th scale 4WD buggy. The items are available in 5, 8 and 11 degrees specification to alter the buggy’s handling going in and coming out of the corner and while helping with steering fine-tuning they also enlarge the wheelbase by a millimetre. The hubs are machined from high-quality 7075 aluminium and they are available as pairs or separately.

Schelle introduce new B6.1 & YZ4 SF option parts

Coming from Schelle Racing Innovations are several new option parts for the Team Associated B6.1 and T6.1 as well as Yokomo’s YZ4 SF wheeler. Starting with the AE-related options, first up are Midnight Graphic chassis skins for the B6.1 buggy and T6.1 truck. Printed with a replacement tail skid and new split line, these protectors allow for easy access to the gearbox screws for repairs. Made in the USA on premium material, the new for 2018 graphic is sure to please. Next up is a 55-piece set of Grade 5 titanium screws for the T6.1. Scrubbing about 15 grams of weight the fasteners come pre-bagged and grouped by length for easy installation. Last but not last comes the Nova slipper assembly for the Yokomo YZ4 SF 4WD buggy. Shaving approximately ten grams of weight and being about 40 smaller in diameter the compact clutch will improve acceleration while delivering a smooth power delivery. The kit comes with a 81T spur gear and it is a drop fit with nothing more to buy.

2018 Alabama Manufacturer Shootout – Report

The 2018 Alabama Manufacturer Shootout is always a highly anticipated race known for its awesome reddish clay surface, technical track layouts, and fun atmosphere. Located in Cullman, Alabama, the AMS is now in its 9th year and organized by RaceTime Entertainment, who hosts some of the biggest nitro races on US soil like PNB and Wicked Weekend. The layout was extremely fun. There was a lot of challenging elements including a cross-over to quad jump that was extremely difficult with a capital E. The step-up jumps were perfect and required precision throttle control to not overshoot. The double drop downs to chicane added fitness and accuracy that made for a wonderful challenge. Overall, the layout was unique and definitely fun. For those who like challenge and difficult tracks, this one was definitely for you.

David Loppini wins Italian 200mm Nats Rd2

The 2nd round of Italian Championship was held at the Mini Autodromo Fiorano track last weekend. In the 200mm Nitro Touring class it was David Loppini (Xray) with the TQ. For the final David went for a super aggressive strategy as he was the only one to go for a full tyre change, starting with qualfying tyres. After a few minutes a little touch with Francesco Tironi resulted in a stop & go penalty but after few laps David was back in the lead again. Running in qualifying mode with a super fast pace David was confident to recover after the tyre change and after a super tight battle in the final minutes he finally saw the chequered flag in the 1st position as Francesco Tironi (Infinity) came in 2nd and Salvatore Gilberto (Capricorn) ended the race on the 3 spot.

Neumann & Orlowski successful at Belgium GP

This last weekend saw the prestigious annual Belgium GP at Kampenhout. In 2WD Michal Orlowski took TQ from Jörn Neumann, but it was reversed in the finals with Jörn taking the overall win from Michal and an excellent 3rd for Wesley Van Helmond, rounding out an all Schumacher podium. In 4WD Michal and Jörn were battling out for TQ once again, this time Michal came out on top TQ’ing and winning the finals. Tom Cockerill for Yokomo in 3rd spoilt the Schumacher podium lockout.

Centro 3.7V 8000mAh LiPo battery pack

Coming from Centro is their new 3.7V 8000mAh LiPo battery pack for all 1S on-road applications. The competition-grade battery is meant to offer very high voltage levels, resulting in more power and less fade on track – fast lap times all the way down to the final lap are the result. The battery features 5mm connectors to ensure maximum current carrying capability, while wraparound battery labels provide cool looks and reduced risk of damage from battery tape. The pack has received BRCA approval so will be legal for national level use from September 1st 2018 winter racing season.

Core RC LiPo voltage checker

Schumacher have introduced the new Core RC LiPo voltage checker. Designed to check the voltage of battery packs quickly and easily to see what state of charge they are in. The checker has a DC Voltage range of 2.5V up to 30V so it is good for 1S to 4S racing packs and higher and it features a red digital display and neat looking black wires. The device is reverse connection protected and in case of cross connection it wont be damaged and it comes pre-wired with 4mm/5mm bullet stepped plugs for most common racing battery types.

Johansson doubles at Swedish National Cup Rd2

The second round of the Swedish National Cup was held at K-raceway and hosted by the Karlskrona MRK club. The event marked the start of the outdoor season for many as the opening round was cancelled. In the 4WD Buggy class Alexander Landen set the pace in qualifying to line up on the 1 spot in front of Elias Johansson in 2nd and 1/8th scale Buggy specialist, Hampus Berg 3rd.
