VCD introduce new 1/12th alloy chassis

Vantomme Carbon Designs have introduced their new aluminium chassis for the CRC XTi WC and SpeedMerchand Rev8 and Rev8.5 1/12th scale pan cars. The chassis is available in a standard and floating link variant with the two being usable for the CRC car while the floating link main plate can also be used on the SpeedMerchant Rev8 and 8.5. The chassis are a couple of millimetres shorter than the original part and wider in the front compared to the stock CRC main plate, while offering three servo and three transverse battery positions. VCD also offers specifically designed rear lower pod plates both cars that are usable with either version of the chassis.

Nicolas Bregante TQs & wins Metropolitan Champs Rd4

The Speed Paradise track hosted round 4 of the Argentinean Metropolitan Championship recently and after taking the TQ in the qualifiers it was Nicolas Bregante (Xray) who also took the win in the 40-minutes long Nitro Buggy A-main. Alvaro Colombo came in 2nd from Fernando Villamil 3rd to round out the podium for HB Racing.

Lazzerini doubles at Italian UISP GT & SGT Champs Rd2

Round 2 of the Italian UISP 1/8 GT & SGT Championship took place at the Monza with 56 drivers in attendance. Federico Lazzerini was the man to beat in the GT and SGT F1 categories and he also confirmed his qualifying performance by bringing home the wins in both categories with a few laps margin. The GT F1 podium was completed by Riccardo Ghidoni and Filippo Biancardi while the SGT F1 top 3 was rounded out by Daniele Stukul and Diego Pizzagalli.

Schumacher BTCC Rd3 & KO GP – Report

The 3rd round of the Schumacher BTCC incorporating the KO GP took place this last weekend at West London. Fine weather throughout saw some close racing with the drivers battling some hot tarmac. Schumacher’s Elliott Harper carried on his form from the last race with an excellent TQ and win in the Modified class. Elliott was followed closely by Xray’s Olly Jefferies and Team Associated driver, Matt White took 3rd overall.

Yeah Racing TRX-4 metal exhaust pipe set

Made for Traxxas’s TRX-4 scale crawler is Yeah Racing’s new metal exhaust pipe set. It includes a black colour dual tip exhaust and pre-shaped metal mounts, allowing for a scale-looking mock-up assembly that further adds a bit of style to the rear end of the popular rig. Also included is suitable hardware, making it a drop fit.

Team C 1.0mm & 1.5mm carbon fibre servo washer set

Team C Racing have introduced a carbon fibre servo washer set that helps to space servos away from their mount. The set includes two 1.0mm and 1.5mm washers that are inserted between the servo’s lashes and the mount in order to move the servo up and down or forth and aft, depending on what is needed to achieve either more clearance of a better steering link geometry. The washers fit most standard and low-profile servos and their respective mounts.

T-Works MBX8 brake cam levers & shock pins

Coming from T-Works and made for Mugen’s MBX8 1/8th buggy are two new aluminium optionals in the form of brake cam levers and lower shock mount pints. Starting with the brake cam levers, the parts are machined from 7075-T6 aluminium and they come hard anodised to protect the surface from wear and tear. The parts help to scrub valuable weight and there come in sets of two.

RC Lemans Series Rd3 – Report

The newly resurfaced Raco2000 track in Utrecht, The Netherlands played host to round 3 of this year’s RC Lemans Series this past weekend. The track work was finished only two weeks before the event and both club and drivers did their best to make best out of the still slippery track conditions. In the swift LMP1 Modified class the Altmann brothers were a step ahead of the others and both battled for the TQ spot. Both were in a league of their own, being about a lap faster than the other drivers. In the end Kai took the TQ from Tim with a 2-seconds margin. Patrick Vannieuwenhyse came in 3rd in front of Reinder Wilms and Joachim Behnken. Tim also broke the track record by nearly four tenths of a second, setting a blistering 13.275.
