RC Concept EC8R 1/8th brushless motor – Teaser

RC Concept have released first images of their forthcoming EC8R 1/8th scale electric brushless motor. No official information are available yet but the motor utilises a black anodised aluminium can with red edge details and large venting openings for optimised heat dissipation. Large, gold-plated solder tabs and a rubber-protected sensor port round out the package. More information will become available in time for the release.

Protoform ZR1 body shell – Teaser image

Protoform have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming new Corvette ZR 1 body shell. Expected to be a tailor fit for 1/10th 190mm touring cars the body will add to Protoform’s already existing Corvette C7.R body. More information are expected to surface soon.

Reds Racing EFRA 2113 X-One Smooth on-road exhaust

Coming from Reds Racing’s X-One series of 1-piece pipe and manifold exhausts is the new EFRA 2113 Smooth system. The innovative design does away with the need to connect the pipe and manifold using springs as both parts come factory-welded for a proper fit, improved performance and less fuel consumption. Furthermore there is no need of using or replacing springs or gaskets for a better reliability and tuning stability. The EFRA 2113 pipe comes with the L manifold for high torque and top speed.

Slovakian Electric Buggy Championship Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the 1/10 Slovakian Electric Off-road Nationals took place last weekend in Košice. The technical track with a long straight offered a combination of different surfaces, making setup tricky. A rainy day before the race increased the grip for the qualification run with the 2WD being TQ’d by local driver Peter Tauber while in 4WD it was Miloš Švihran who grabbed the pole position for the finals.

Kaufmann & Marzini win at Swiss EP Nats Rd2

The second round of the Swiss Nationals took place in Schaffhausen, Switzerland with the event attracting many drivers from across Switzerland and neighbouring Germany. The AMCS track is a fun track and has its own unique charm as the drivers stand is not located in the usual manner and is located on the left corner of the track. To this adds an ageing and sometimes bumpy surface, making setup not an easy task. In the Modified class, Marco Kaufmann (Xray) made a clean sweep by TQing all qualifying rounds and bringing home the win in all three A-mains to end the day in front of Serpent’s Dionys Stadler and Yokomo’s Michele Manzo.

Trinity Monster Max neon pink LE end plate set

Trinity have introduced a neon pink limited edition end plate set for the Monster Max and Monster Horsepower motors. Included are the sensor and pinion side end plates as well as the sensor board cover plate all anodised in hot pink, making the motor stand out from the crowd.

STRC release more TRX-4 transmission option parts

Coming from ST Racing Concepts and made for the Traxxas TRX-4 trail truck are the new CNC machined brass front steering knuckle and inner portal drive housing as well as the rear inner portal drive housing. Having more weight towards the lower part of the scale crawler can help with stability and climbing capability of the vehicle and brass option parts with its combination of durability and heavier weight can help achieve this performance edge. STRC’s new brass front steering knuckle/inner portal drive housing and the rear inner portal drive housing both increase the weight and add a combine total of nearly 150g to the lower portion of the vehicle. Both come black treated for realistic look and durability.
