Vampire Racing introduce their new line of highly flexible “flat-type” sensor wires. Made from tough yet easy-to-bend wire the sensor harnesses make for tidy wiring and the highly flexible design reduces unwanted tweak when used in pan cars. The wires come in seven different length including 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, 125mm, 150mm, 175mm and 200mm, ideal for all applications from 1/8th to 1/12th scale.

Phend first champion of 28th Cactus Classic

In complete contrast to 12-months ago, when he didn’t even make the A-Main line-up, Dakotah Phend has become the first driver to be crowned champion at the 28th running of the Pro-Line Cactus Classic.  Having won A1, the Team Losi Racing young star backed it up with another win in A2 over local hero & multiple champion Ryan Maifield to secure the prestigious 2WD Buggy title, his first big win at America’s longest running offroad event.

A1 Buggy wins for Maifield & Phend

Ryan Maifield and Dakotah Phend took the opening round of A-Mains at the Pro-Line Cactus Classic this morning in Scottsdale, Arizona.   Maifield won the more interesting encounter, 4WD Buggy, which saw drama before the race even started as Jared Tebo broke a front and rear wishbone during his warm-up laps and was forced to miss the start having been set to start second. 2WD Buggy was a rather processionally affair with Phend cruising to an easy victory, the Top 4 finishing in the same order they finished.

Neumann takes overall TQ at Cactus

Joern Neumann is Top Qualifier of 4WD Buggy at the Pro-Line Cactus Classic, the Team Durango driver becoming the first European to secure the honour at America’s longest running international offroad event.  The 28th running of the race, Neumann topped the final qualification ranking thanks to his two TQ runs in yesterday’s qualifying.  With only Jared Tebo able to deny the German in the final qualifier, Dakotah Phend prevented that from happening as he claimed the final qualifier ahead Tebo and Neumann.  Tebo will line up second on tomorrow’s A-Main grid with Phend third and defending Champion Ryan Maifield fourth.

First Buggy TQ for Phend in Q3 of 2WD

Team Losi Racing’s young star Dakotah Phend took his first TQ of buggy at the Pro-Line Cactus Classic, the US National Champion taking Q3 of 2WD to become the third different driver to top a round at the Scottsdale event.  The 17-year-old headed the times by almost 1-second benefiting from a coming together between Q1 and Q2 pace setters Jared Tebo and Ryan Maifield.  Maifield would recover to take second for the round ahead of team-mate Ryan Cavalieri while defending champion Tebo ended up 9th fastest.

Maifield takes 2nd 2WD qualifier at Cactus Classic

After a rocky start to his home event, Ryan Maifield topped off Day 1 of qualifying at the Pro-Line Cactus Classic with a TQ run in 2WD Buggy. Having posted the fourth fastest time in Q1, Maifield would lead an Associated 1, 2, 3 in the second round of qualifying ahead of his young protege Spencer Rivkin and team-mate Ryan Cavalieri.  For Q1 pace setter Jared Tebo it was a tough round as he posted the 19th fastest time.

Neumann stamps authority Day 1 of 4WD Buggy

Team Durango’s Joern Neumann stamped his authority on the first day of 4WD Buggy Qualifying at the 28th running of the Pro-Line Cactus Classic as he claimed the second of the days qualifiers by a massive 5.1 seconds over US National Champion Ty Tessmann.  Having had a bad start to the day posting only the 18th fastest time in Q1, defending champion Ryan Maifield turned things around to record a 3rd for the round.
