Leo Arnold sweeps French 200mm Nats Rd2

Last weekend the second round of the French 1/10th 200mm Nitro Touring Nationals was held at the famous Ampuis track. The track offers a mixture of slow and fast corners with technical sections and a nice and flowing layout. The year the nats use a 4-minute rocket rounds format for qualifying and it was Leo Arnold who would take the overall TQ from Michael Derderian and Kevin Rasquin with the top 2 drivers proceed directly into the 45-minute A-main. Leo Arnold (Xray) would start from pole position into the final and he would hold onto the lead for the whole race to take the win some two laps in front of Capricorn’s Quentin Leroux. Behind the two Michael Derderian (Xray) had quite a comeback after suffering a flame-out at the start of the A-main to finish on the final podium spot. Leo and Michael were also the only two pilots to opt for two tyre stops whereas the remainder of the A-main only did one stop for new rubber.

Contact Grip-R rubber tyre additive

Schumacher have introduced the new Contact Grip-R, a specially formulated tyre additive for rubber tyres for both carpet and tarmac conditions. It is a thin-style additive which is very good in low to medium traction conditions. Thinner additives have been finding favour on tarmac on the new style rubber tyres such as the Rush 32/36 and the BRCA Sweep tyres and this additive is an ideal solution to provide that extra grip. The tyre sauce comes in a large 100ml bottle with sponge applicator.
