Avid Kyosho, Yokomo & Tamiya diff thrust bearings

New from Avid come diff thrust bearings for Kyosho, Yokomo and Tamiya kits. Available as standard steel, tungsten carbide and ceramic ball variant the caged bearings are ideal to upgrade any car that makes use of 6mm thrust washers and 2.6mm diff screws. The steel ball variant is the cheapest of the three offering good performance and an economical price while the tungsten carbide bearing has more true in size balls for a smoother and longer lasting bearing. Last but not least comes the ceramic ball offering with the hardest material used for the smoothest possible diff feeling but also the most narrow window of adjustment.

JConcepts B44.2 X-Flow body

JConcepts introduce the X-Flow Finnisher body shell for the Team Associated B44.2 buggy. The body that was used by Steve Hartson during his World Championship winning campaign features a revamped design with additional air-flow relief areas which impact the motor and speed controller directly in order to lower the component’s temperatures for improved performance. The Finnisher-based X-flow has deeper pockets near the front of the side-pods and just behind the cab which allow cut-out options and it is a direct fit on all B44.2 buggies. Included with the body come two 6.5″ wide Hi-Clearance rear wings.

Muchmore Fleta Pro, Stock Spec & Euro ESCs

Muchmore introduce their new line of Fleta brushless speed controllers in the form of the Fleta Pro, Fleta Stock Spec and Fleta Euro all of which are completely new designed. Starting with the Fleta Pro, the controller was designed in cooperation with 3-time World Champion Marc Rheinard and it features a 120A rating, it is 2S-LiPo compatible and incorporates a 6V/3A BEC system. The new Flow-Max heat sink design ensures the controller stays as cool as possible even in high ambient temperatures or when running low turn modified motors. Included comes a dual power capacitor and an ultra high RPM fan. The speedo is highly adjustable using Muchmore’s new ESC program card and ideal for on-road and off-road racing alike.

Serpent Cobra E-Avenger body

Serpent introduce the new E-Avenger body shell for the Cobra-E 1/8th buggy. The body sports a distinctive cab forward design for improved steering, more downforce and a better jumping buggy compared to the kit’s ‘mid cab’ design. The specially shaped roof section makes for better straight-line stability and cornering while the redesigned rear section improves the airflow towards the rear wing. The body is made from clear 1mm lexan material, comes with window masks and overspray film. It is available from end of October with a semi-painted as well as four pre-painted variants coming at a later date.

Scorpion XXL 1/7 scale EP/GP kit

Kyosho introduce the Scorpion XXL EP and GP kit. Both the electric and the gas powered variant are based on the ReadySet vehicles and feature a 3mm aluminium chassis, a ball-raced heavy duty drive train with adjustable slipper clutch, and a widely adjustable suspension with large volume shock absorbers. Included in the kits are also some bonus parts such as high grip tyres, universal driveshafts, steel main gear, aluminium servo steering servohorn and as well as limited edition parts in fluorescent blue colour such as rims, air intakes, front A-arms, chassis side pods and small parts. Not included in the kit, that will hit stores at the end of November, are the radio, electric and electronic components or the nitro engine.

Arrowmax 64 pitch hard-coated pinions

Arrowmax have released a range of hard-anodised 7075-T6 aluminium pinion gears specially designed for stock racing classes. They are both tough and lightweight thanks to the specially treated alloy material and are available in a range of 53 teeth to 63 teeth.

JBRL Electric Series Rd 8 – Report

The 8th and final Round of the JBRL Electric Series finished off at Jimmy’s home track – Hot Rod Hobbies. In 2WD Modified Buggy Team Associated’s Cody Numedahl came in first, followed by Kyosho’s Cody King and Kevin Motter (Team Associated). Cody also wrapped up the overall 2013 JBRL series championship.
