Bayer tops 2WD seeding at EOS

Euro Offroad Series 2WD Championship points leader Martin Bayer has topped seeding for Round 3 at the Hudy Arena, the Xray fastest from team-mate Kája Novotný.  A former winner at his home event, Bayer had a clear advantage over an otherwise closely match field, his best 3-consecutive laps  of 1:13.601 almost a full second quicker than Novotný’s.  Behind the pre race favourite and Novotný, it was last year’s winner Michal Orlowski who was third quickest with Schumacher looking the best of the rest on Xray’s home turf as Joern Neumann posted the 5th fastest time.  Lee Martin set the fourth fastest time, the Yokomo driver unable to improve on his time from the first of the two counting timed practice rounds.  Coming into the event on the back of his first EOS victory last month, Team Associated’s Neil Cragg will be seeded 7th for qualifying, all four rounds taking place later today.

Fenix BD8 aluminium main chassis & top deck

Coming from Fenix and made for Yokomo’s popular BD8 touring car are an aluminium main chassis plate and top deck. As for the chassis, much thoughts went into in-corner scrub and drag reduction, which leads to more flowing outer lines as well as redesigned battery mounting brackets to further add clearance during hard cornering. The chassis comes with extensive machining in the battery and electric area for optimised flex characteristics, a black coated surface and machined silver edge details. As for the top deck, extra clearance is provided in the pinion area to ensure proper fitting of large pinions when running high-wind stock motors. Both the chassis and top deck will fit the 2018 and 2017 BD8 kits.

RPM E-Rustler rear bumper kit

RPM have introduced a rear bumper kit for the electric variants of Traxxas’ Rustler 2WD monster truck. The bumper is designed to protect the rear of the chassis, the motor and the body, all while still allowing the use of a stock Traxxas wheelie bar. Additionally, if owners decide to run without the wheelie bar, the bumper is so versatile, it’ll adapt and allow either configuration. The part is designed tough, with serious impact absorption characteristics built in. With the use of the optional RPM Rear Bumper Mount, the protection for the motor becomes nearly indestructible. The bumper is made of engineering grade nylons and comes in black or blue colour.
