Shepherd are reporting on last weekend’s second round of the French 1/10 On-Road National Championship that was held in Nantes in the West of the Country. With 27 entries in the Elite class and 60 entries in National class, it was a really good participation. The qualification was very tight and saw Adrien Bertin taking the TQ in front of Thomas Eytard, Maxime Favrelle and Basile Concialdi who took the last spot for the direct final. Motonica have announced that Arnaud Mathieu has joined their French team to run the P81 Pro throughout the 2010 season. The opening round of the French 1/10th 200mm Nationals took place last weekend in Neuville de Poitou in the west of the country. Qualifying on Saturday, with the introduction of 7 minute heats, saw Nicolas Bougnoteau take the pole position in the Elite class with the new Capricorn LAB-C01, while in the National series it was Quentin Leroux at the head of the field. The opening round of the French 1/8th scale on road nationals took place last weekend in Beaumont Monteux in the south east of the country. Qualifying in the Elite class went the way of Shepherd driver Richard Volta, who after 7 minutes was 3 seconds in front of Serpent/RB driver Anthony Abisset, with team mate Stéphane Riccobono and Motonica driver Arnaud Mathieu completing the top 4. …Switzerland, continued to set the pace in the Nationals by taking the TQ ahead of Sébastien Zatla, Christophe Aygon and Laurent Zatla. Adrien was untouchable in the main final and the Kyosho/Team Orion driver won easily from Kyosho/NR racer Laurent Zatla in 2nd after a great fight with Serpent/RB driver Stephane Riccobonno. This win gave Bertin the National title in the Elite class. In the National class it was Arnaud Mathieu that took the pole position and in the final he never gave up his lead, winning the race, while Gerald Colinet took the National title.
