Pro-Line 2012 Bulldog for B44.1

This is a BullDog Clear Body for the Team Associated B44.1 Buggy. For 2012, Ryan Cavalieri has improved upon the design and developed the most advanced body yet, the 2012 BullDog body. Ryan took great care in refining the design for 2012 to create even more stability with enhanced steering to gain an advantage on the track. The windshield is steeper to create more down force over the front wheels and the roof ridges have been raised to channel the air flow over the middle of the body for increased high-speed stability. The rear of the roof has been lowered and fins have been added to achieve stable air flow over the body and the fins also add rigidity to the body to increase aerodynamic efficiency.

Axial AX10 Ridgecrest

April 2012 marks the five year anniversary of the AX10 and Axial felt that it was time for the product that launched them into the crawling segment to undergo some evolution and receive some trickle-down technological advancements of its own. They have not changed the original scope of the vehicle, the AX10 Ridgecrest is still the “Leatherman” of the Axial product line and it’s where backyard crawling begins. They have taken key items from their products and put them into the AX10 Ridgecrest, along with an all-new tube style chassis. The most noticeable performance upgrade of the AX10 are the Ripsaw tires, with their 5.5″ tall by 2.1″ wide stance, mounted on officially licensed Raceline Renegade wheels. But what you do not see is the updated suspension geometry that also delivers better articulation. All delivered through Dana 60 inspired AR60 OCP-Axles that have already been proven on the Axial Wraith.

AKA 1/10th buggy 2wd FR closed cell insert

Seen during our coverage of the Nuremberg Toy Fair, AKA have released their new 1/10th buggy 2wd front closed cell insert. This insert was designed to decrease the lateral deflection of the tire while at the same time increasing the vertical impact absorption therefore providing better handling in the bumps. The lateral grooves allow the insert to flex vertically to absorb the large impacts while still maintaining lateral stability and overall durability AKA inserts are known for. The result is a more predictable handling car without giving up durability.

Now in its second year, the JConcepts Indoor National tour makes its first stop in St. Louis, MO, at the popular SmacTrac facility. Greeted by 370+ entries for the two-day event, racers were pumped to get the series underway at the competitive indoor clay facility. With a track size of roughly 90′ x 40′, the racing was tight and heated throughout the classes. Taking the top qualifying position in 2WD Modified, 4WD Modified and 4WD Short Course, the California native was in prime position for an event sweep. Also joining him at the front of the field was Brent Thielke and his Reedy/LRP-powered T4.1 and RC8.2e in the Truck Modified and 1:8 eBuggy classes.
