Reflex Racing RSD TC7.1 pitch control system

Reflex Racing have introduced the pitch control system for the Team Associated TC7.1 touring car. It is designed to increase fore and aft chassis rigidity while maintaining the same side to side flex on the chassis by tying the steering servo mount with the motor mount via a centre tie rod. The result is more forward bite and a more precise handling. Both the motor and servo mount are cut from black anodised 7075-T6 aluminium and they sport silver edge details for looks with the motor mount utilising a lowered layshaft position by 1.5mm in order to lower the gyroscopic forces of the spur gear and layshaft for quicker direction changes. The servo mount has a third screw on the carbon fibre upper plate for better securing and precision of the servo mounting and integrated screw holes in the motor and servo mounts allow the use of screws for centre battery stops. Additional lower motor mount securing screw positions make for more flex tuning options when used with the forthcoming optional RSD chassis and an increased motor adjustment range allows the use with smaller pinion and Spur combinations.

Xray XB2 & XT2 narrow brass rear suspension mounts

Coming from Xray and made for the XB2 and XT2 kits are narrow brass rear suspension mounts. The narrow design increased the vehicle’s rear chassis roll which can be beneficial to find more traction on low grip surfaces. The added weight of the machined brass parts further adds stability and traction and the parts use the original I.S.S. suspension inserts for quick and easy suspension geometry changes. The suspension hangers are available separately as RF and RR parts.

2017 Alabama Manufacturer Shootout – Report

Last year, the Alabama Manufacturer Shootout made headlines with the news of the AMS having new ownership. As much as there was excitement, there was a bit of skepticism, but after the recent AMS 8.0, all doubts were laid to rest as the event was well planned, amazingly fun, and still has the AMS magic. Fortunately the drivers were blessed with perfect weather that added to the atmosphere and making the event more enjoyable overall. The track layout this year was fun and had a terrific flow that reminded of a toned down Psycho Nitro Blast in a smaller arena with dirt jumps instead of wood ramps. Many commented that the track looked “awesome”, “rad”, and “wished I was there”, claiming high praise from racers and internet viewers.
