T-Works MP9 TKI4/3 carbon fibre upper plate

T-Works have introduced a carbon fibre upper plate for the Kyosho MP9 TKI4 and TKI3 1/8th off-road buggies. Machined from high-quality material, the plate is a direct replacement for the standard aluminium part, adding visual impact to the front end of the buggy.

EV-Peak AR1 touch screen 300W DC charger

New from EV-Peak comes the AR1 300W touch screen multi-chemistry charger. Made for the use with 11VDC to 32VDC input the device features a strong charge circuit good enough for up to 25A of charge current with 1S to 6S LiPo battery packs or 1 to 15 cell NiMH batteries. The charger offers several charge modes, one of which is a dedicated LiHV mode, it measure 102x120x46mm and weighs in at 450g. A large back-lit touch screen display allows for easy menu operation.

JConcepts Pinion Puck pinion gear holder

Coming from JConcepts is the Pinion Puck pinion gear holder. The circular design and aluminium material surrounds the pinion gear and protects the finish of the valued gears from damage. Each Pinion Puck has steel pins pressed into location giving the proper placement for the pinion. The pins also provide a sturdy area for the holding set screw to clamp against. The gear holder is available in two variants, one for 17T to 26T 48 pitch gears and one for 27T to 36T 48 pitch gears. Each pinion cavity is laser etched, indicating proper size ranging and the centre features a recess to hold small components and also etched to indicate overall size of the Puck while displaying JConcepts branding. The carriers are available in blue or black colours.

2017 IRCC Airport Race – Announcement

The International R/C Car Championship, otherwise known as the IRCC Airport Race, will take place from the 2nd to 4th of June at the Chubu International Airport in Japan. The unique event will be held on a temporary carpet track in an event hall near the arrivals section. With the airport having a hotel and restaurants, races won’t need to do much travelling and can in fact access the track by foot. The race will see the running of several on-road classes including Touring Stock, FWD, Modified and Stock 1/12th scale, Formula, World GT and more, with racers from the USA, Korea, Macao and other countries being awaited. Modelix Racing have announced the signing of Spanish on-road frontrunner, Jonnhy Pastor to their team. Although being widely known for his on-road skills, Jonnhy will make a step into off-road racing this season using Procircuit tyres, Ultimate engines and accessories as well as Nitrolux fuel.

CWIC Xray Racing Series UK Rd7 – Report

The recent round seven of the CWIC Xray Racing Series UK concluded the 2016/17 series and as with the previous rounds the event had a good turn out of racers. In Super Touring the final round of the series seen some top racers attend to challenge for the win, but in keeping with recent rounds Olly Jefferies topped the podium with back to back final wins. Alex Hagberg came in close to take second and Alex Thurston made up the podium.

Muchmore 5mm LCG Euro connectors

With a total length of 15mm the plugs are usable with standard height 25.7mm and also LCG 23mm LiPo battery packs and their low height head ensures neat wiring and unnecessary height build-up for a professional and clean looking wiring job. Atomic BZ 2017 Evo 1/28th 4WD chassis kit

Atomic have released first information on the BZ 2017 Evo 1/28th scale 4WD competition chassis kit. The belt-driven micro touring car received a number of upgrades and improvements such as adjustable front and rear camber angles and link positions, adjustable caster, rear roll centre, anti-squat and pro-squat adjustments and the servo mount moved 2mm towards the centre line while also being of a more rigid design that is less prone to moving after a crash. Also new for the 2017 version are double flange diff pulleys to avoid belt jumps, the chassis is 1mm narrower for improved ground clearance during cornering and the top deck is of a more rigid design. Last but not least come the option of running longer rear shocks for improved traction and a tailor-made screw for the plastic bulkhead ensures that the screw holes won’t break any more.
