Xray XB4 Slipper Eliminator Set for One-Way Clutch

Xray has released this Slipper Eliminator Set for One-Way Slipper Clutch on its XB4 1:10 4WD Buggy.  The specially designed slipper eliminator set is intended for stock class racing, combining the efficiency of a solid axle on-power with the drivability benefits of a one-way system off-power.  The slipper eliminator completely removes the slipper effect on-power, delivering direct drivetrain connection for improved acceleration, sharper throttle response, and more consistent power delivery. Reduced drivetrain rotating mass further enhances efficiency and responsiveness, making the car more reactive under acceleration.  Off-power, the system retains the one-way bearing function, reducing front braking influence and helping to stabilize the car on corner entry, during jump landings, and under high-speed deceleration. This results in a calmer, more predictable handling feel, especially in technical track sections.  Precision CNC-machined from Premium Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium and outdrives from Hudy Spring Steel, the set offers high strength, low weight, and long-term durability, making it an ideal solution for competitive stock class applications where efficiency and consistency are critical.

The RC Racer TRF421X Front Stiffener 3D Print Files

Well known Tamiya website The RC Racer has released files for the 3D printing of a Front Stiffener for the iconic Japanese manufacturer’s TRF421X 1:10 Electric Touring Car.  Now common options in modern touring car, the Front stiffener helps with preventing the bonnet flexing on lightweight body shells.  Run by Craig Howard, The RC Racer has created two versions – Soft or Solid.  This Soft allows a little more flex at the front of the bulkhead. It makes the front end more stable into the corner.  The Solid version is if you want to keep more initial bite into the corner.

Schumacher CAT PB Optional Steering Arms

New from Schumacher for their CAT PB 1:10 4WD Buggy are these Optional Steering Arms.  Used by their factory race team at the World Championship and other International events, the CAT PB ‘2 pip’ Carbon Fibre Steering Arms offer a new Ackermann position which gives more initial steering and has smoother mid to exit steering.  This will help on tracks which require a less ‘tail happy CAT’ when exiting corners and allows the driver to lean on the steering without any snap oversteer.

Kyosho Inferno MP11e 1:8 Electric Buggy

Having shown a prototype of its 1:8 electric buggy at the Nuremberg Toy Fair in Germany at the end of January, Kyosho has officially released images & details of the production Inferno MP11e.  The latest-generation race chassis based on the nitro Inferno MP11 that debuted in 2025, is optimised to deliver top-level competitiveness in premier EP racing events, with the Japanese manufacturer stating that 1:8 electric buggy has gained global status highlighted by the inaugural IFMAR World Championship in 2025. where they competed with the previous MP10 platform.  Features of the MP11e include a dedicated electric chassis made from 3mm A7075 duralumin with hard anodising.  Precisely machined and milled in key areas to optimise weight distribution, controlled flex, stability, and overall rigidity.  Adopting aluminium front hub carriers with a 12°kingpin angle.  This design optimises steering geometry for increased stability at high speeds and refined drivability across all track conditions.  Engineered for maximum aerodynamic efficiency, the new body features newly designed side rails on the cab roof, side spoilers, and a refined rear spine design.  These elements deliver superior high-speed stability and enhanced cornering capabilities.  The front/rear lower suspension arms utilise the proven Inferno MP11 sturdy design. Rigidity can be further tuned using optional carbon plates, providing the versatility to adapt your setup to specific track conditions and layout requirements.  Adopting the latest MP11 standard front and rear bulkheads with a split type bearing holder design.  This enables quick differential height swaps for optimal grip tuning and delivers a major leap in maintenance efficiency.  Designed with a low centre of gravity and user-friendly gear mesh adjustment, the differential height is easily tunable by swapping bearing bushings, offering three distinct height settings.  Easy diff access design with dedicated wire holders for neat and reliable cable routing. Features a straight-line drivetrain design that ensures highly efficient power transmission.  Split left-right battery layout lowers the centre of gravity and optimises weight balance.  Adjustable sliding battery tray supports short and mid-size batteries and allows fine tuning of weight distribution.  The receiver is housed in a sealed dust-resistant box with a screw-fastened lid for protection while the ESC is mounted on a separate radio plate with adjustable fore-aft positioning for weight balance tuning.

FEMCA issues apology over World Championship cancellation

The governing body that represents 15 nations in Asia & Australasia and the IFMAR Bloc that is responsible for the staging of this year’s 1:12 and ISTC World Championships, FEMCA has issued a public apology to drivers over the cancellation of the races at Hongyu GDC in China.  FEMCA President Leonard Kee, who only took over as head of the bloc last May from long serving Trevor Reid, made the apology via a Facebook post on the FEMCA page in which he explains that the lack of necessary government approvals to host the races ‘blindsided both the organizer, GDC, and myself’.  From Malaysia and well known throughout Asia for his race announcing, Kee also stated that, ‘We understand there is a lot of rumor and speculation within the community, but we will not be engaging with conjecture’ adding ‘China and GDC remain top-tier in our community, with a venue many consider the finest.  I, too, felt deeply disappointed—an “Et tu, Brute?” moment—when those entrusted didn’t fulfill their role.’  With alternative venues being talked to by IFMAR in order to host the Worlds later this year, FEMCA is set to continue as the host Bloc with an announcement on the rescheduled date/venue imminent.

Hudy 1:12 Alu Tweak Set-Up Wheels

New from Slovakian tool manufacturer Hudy comes these Aluminium Tweak Set-Up Wheels for 1:12 Pan Car use.   The 40.5mm diameter set-up wheels are designed for precise and repeatable tweak adjustment on 1:12 Pan Car chassis.  The rigid aluminium construction eliminates inaccuracies caused by rubber or foam tires, allowing accurate chassis balance checks.  Foam tires used on pan cars can vary significantly in diameter after each run, making reliable tweak measurement difficult with the aluminium set-up wheels eliminating these inconsistencies and allow precise chassis balance checks.  Each wheel is CNC-machined to exact tolerances and perfectly matched within the set for maximum setup precision.

Hongyu GDC Worlds track layouts

A week from today these are the tracks that would have greeted drivers from around the world as they arrived at the Hongyu GDC track in Foshan, China, for what should have been the official registration day of the 22nd running of the IFMAR 1:12 World Championship.  As we all frustratingly know unfortunately last week IFMAR found themselves in the unenviable position of having to announce the cancellation of the event, together with the ISTC Worlds that was to follow.  This was ultimately due to necessary government approvals to host the races not being in place.  With approval for the venue to host the event revoked abruptly as the RC industry and host track made final preparations for what is our Olympic Games, having waited the 2-year cycle for the world’s most important race to come around, talks to get new approvals from the newly appointed staff at the Chinese National RC body for the original dates proved unsuccessful.  The cancellation sent a huge shockwave through the racing community and the IFMAR Board of Directors are currently working on potential dates and venue options so as we can still crown World Champions in 2026.  An announcement on this is expected in the coming days.  What is even more frustrating is that race organiser Gavin Kwok has the stage set for these World Championships but unfortunately not the piece of paperwork to allow the best racers in the world race on it.  The new Touring Car Track layout )main images) has been down for a number of weeks with no running permitted on it as part of the IFMAR rules while the 1:12 got a huge transformation from that that was used at the FEMCA race last December.  The totally new layout and design was created by Pawel Kowalski from Polish track builders Racestars, who built the recent MIBO International dual track layout and have created tracks for the ETS and EOS.
