Dirt Racing Products recessed ball-stud washer set

JConcepts have released another Brian “Dirt” Kinwald product in the form of the Dirt Racing Products recessed washer set that was designed to offer two ball-stud height adjustments while utilizing a single washer. The 2 and 3mm washers feature a 1mm recess; this allows a driver to simply flip orientation for desired height. The large diameter of the washer provides a steady footing against plastic and aluminum components while the milled and recessed grooves easily indicate which height is in hand. Included in each package are four pieces of the 2 to 1mm washer and two pieces of the 3 to 2mm washer. In addition, a 0.5mm shim is also included for the ultimate in fine tuning adjustment and can be used alongside the recessed washers. Anodized in black, the washers can be used as a technical tuning option or simply during a “black-out vehicle build.

JConcepts are busy releasing more 1990’s monster truck bodyshells with the latest offering being the 1993 Ford F-250 SuperCab. Resembling the popular ninth generation truck, the body drops on a variety of long monster trucks which range from 12.5″ to 13” wheelbase. Included come a comprehensive decal sheet, window masks and also an attachable Racerback.

JConcepts 2nd annual Outdoor Turf Nationals – Announcement

JConcepts, in conjunction with R/C Madness in Enfield, Connecticut, present the 2nd Annual Outdoor Turf Nationals from on the 10th and 11th of September. The dedicated AstroTurf surface created by Chris Marcy combines a large outdoor venue with the grippy green surface used at international events around the world including the 2015 IFMAR World Championships. A multitude of classes are offered for all skill levels and accomplishment. JConcepts control tires will be utilized in the 2WD and 4WD Buggy classes while stadium truck and SCT will allow open tires. Sign-up for the event is available here.

Nejc Mihelic takes Slovenian 1/8th On-road title

The Slovenian 1/8th Nitro On-road Championship was held at the Tolmin track last weekend. Perfect weather conditions made for some nice days of racing with the action having started already on Friday. The qualifiers were won by ARC’s Nejc Mihelic who had his ARC team mates Valentin Mis and Simon Stelcl in tow in second and third respectively. A huge amount of tyre wear and a power and fuel-hungry track made for many different pit strategies. Up front Nejc checked out early to take the win and the championship title but behind him the race was on for the runner-up spot between Valentin and Simon. Both opted not to change tyres and only an engine flame out of Valentin brought the decision between the two with Simon taking the second place and the vice championship while Valentin had to settle for third.

Team C GT8-series aluminium shock mounts

German Team C distributors Absima have introduce the new aluminium lower shock mounts for the GT8-range of 1/8th scale on-road cars. Machined from aluminium and coming orange anodised and including mounting hardware the parts make for an updated suspension geometry and they are usable on both the front and the rear of the car.

Shepherd black/grey hooded sweater

Shepherd have announced the release of their latest merchandise in the form of the black/grey hooded sweater. It is made from high quality 80 percent cotton and 20 percent polyester material and shows the new Shepherd “European and World Champions” print on the front side and the well known Shepherd logo on the back. Furthermore the new hoodie comes with a kangaroo pouch pocket with small hidden openings for earphone cords as well as hidden ear phone loops in the hood. Coming in sizes of XS to 3XL the new hoodies are available from now on.

Austrian Electric On-road Nationals Rd5 – Report

Round five of the Austrian Electric On-road Nationals was held in Laa an der Thaya and hosted by the Mod RaceLaa04 club. In the Touring Modified class Patrick Gollner took the TQ from team mate Manuel Gremlica and Dominic Vogl. The finals then were a pretty easy affair for the pole position holder and with flawless races he took the overall win in front of the fighting duo of Dominic and Manual. At the end Dominic would prevail to take the runner-up spot from Manuel.

T-Works B6-series titanium battery post with locknuts

Coming from T-Works and made for Team Associated’s sixth generation 1/10th off-road buggies are titanium battery mount posts. The parts offer a plain middle section for improved battery brace fitment and they are also 2.5mm longer than the standard parts, allowing for easy mounting of the battery hold down. The precisely machined hex section makes for effortless height adjustments and the parts come in sets of two, usable on both the B6 and B6D.
