Tamiya TA-07 Pro carbon fibre reinforced option parts

Coming from Tamiya is a range of carbon fibre reinforced option parts for the TA-07 Pro touring car kit. First up is the reinforced lower deck. The carbon fiber-reinforced nylon resin version of the kit supplied FRP lower deck alters the car’s chassis flex characteristics to improve performance on high-grip carpet and asphalt surfaces.

Rocket RC 1/10th Formula car kit

Italian company Rocket RC have introduced their all-new 1/10th formula car kit. The vehicle makes use of a 2.4mm carbon fibre main chassis plate that is, like all carbon composite materials, being made in Italy as are the red anodised 7075 aluminium parts. Beside these purpose designed bits the kit makes use of some commercially available items such as a Yokomo rear differential, Roche front end parts and ball ends, 3-D-printed ABC Brianza as well as DitoDito Racing parts. The car was developed for rubber tyre racing and it will become available soon.

Giuseppe D’Angelo teams up with Capricorn

Capricorn have announced the signing of Italy’s Giuseppe D’Angelo. Giuseppe will campaign the company’s Lab C-03 200mm touring car in 2017 at events including the Italian Nationals, the Italian Manufacturer’s Championship and select Euro Nitro Series races. Capricorn are looking forward to work with Giuseppe as his experience and speed will be a great asset for the team.

Team Associated Sweden welcomes Daniel Carlsson

Team Associated Sweden has welcomed Daniel Carlsson to their team. The former Yokomo driver and ETS regular already showed some good national results in his career and he has the following to say about the deal:

Joining AE Sweden and driving Team Associated vehicles is a great step in my racing career. To join such a big company with so many fantastic titles and victories is amazing. Vincent Jackson teams up with Capricorn

Capricorn have announced US frontrunner Vincent Jackson as part of the team for the 2017 season. After a short hiatus, the former Serpent driver makes his comeback to the racing scene, campaigning Capricorn’s LAB-C03 1/10th scale nitro touring car in preparation of the 2018 worlds. Vincent says:

I am extremely excited for the opportunity to run for Capricorn RC and RCtarget. I want to thank Rino, Frankie and Patrizio for making me a part of the team. I have no doubts about Capricorn products and looking forward my future with them.

CWIC Xray Racing Series UK Rd4 – Report

The recent fourth round of the CWIC XRS UK saw a pretty good turnout and so the organisers could only fit three minute practice runs into the schedule followed by three rounds of round by round qualification with the best two to count and 2-legged finals. This round seen Super Touring had a great turnout and even with a very competitive field, Olly Jefferies took the overall win closely followed by wonder junior Harley Eldridge and Tim Langdell, who took overall third place on the podium.

Ryan Maifield joins Mugen Seiki Racing

Mugen Seiki Racing have announced the signing of Ryan Maifield to their factory team. Rumours about the former TLR driver changing teams were around for a while and now Mugen have officially dropped the news. Ryan only joined his former team back in Summer 2014 after being a long-time Team Associated driver. Mugen are looking forward to the time ahead and while Ryan has yet to announce his 1/10th scale rides, images posted online have all but confirmed him at Japanese company Yokomo.

Spektrum SR2010 DSMR micro race receiver

The Spektrum SR2010 DSMR micro race receiver, that is part of the company’s innovative S6240RX servo and receiver unit, is also available separately for those who look for a tiny and lightweight unit. Offering a footprint of 25.5×17.6mm at a height of 13.6mm, the receiver weighs in at 5.5g and it utilises the DSMR frequency-agile surface protocol with a response rate of 5.5ms. The transparent case features an integrated antenna holder and the internals of the 3/2-channel receiver are protected using a Reliakote coating. The high-voltage compatible receiver furthermore features an improved antenna design optimise RF signal strength and it is usable with Spektrum DSMR-compatible transmitters.
