Fariz Mazri wins at FEMCA GT Champs support race

Last weekend saw the running of the FEMCA GT Championship, held at the KLIRCC track in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In the supporting 1/8th nitro on-road category drivers from Malaysia and China battled for the win. The qualifying saw Fariz Mazri taking the TQ in front of Wong Yoong Keong and Nelson Woo. At the start of the 45-minute race Fariz managed to defend his first position while Nelson Woo climbed up the order from third to second position. Until the checkered flag it was a close race between these two drivers but Fariz was able to defend his first position and he crossed the finish line some three seconds in front of Nelson. Neil made his way up from sixth to third position to complete the podium.

Yokomo YZ-2 front anti-roll bar set

Yokomo have released a new front anti-roll bar set for the YZ-2 2WD off-road buggy. It contains six swaybar wires for ultra-fine chassis roll control while also including all needed mounting hardware such as hard-anodised aluminium pivot balls, ball cups, links and screws.

Maurice Lüscher wins at ART Championship Rd2

The second round of the ART Championship was held in Münsingen, Switzerland on a small and technical track. In the 1/12th scale class it was Maurice Lüscher who took the win from Michael Schäfer , the latter suffered from a dumping battery. Stefan Wüthrich would round out the top 3 result.

3DRC Rapide P12 2016 chassis protector

Coming from 3DRC and made for the Roche Rapide P12 2016 1/12th scale pan car is a 3-D-printed chassis protector. The super-lightweight part helps to protect the front part of the chassis from damage and delamination caused by collisions, as it surrounds the exposed front contour of the lower chassis plate. The part is a direct fit on the 2016 variant and it is available now through 3DRC’s Shapeways store.

McFactory Motorsports Project 4X alloy main chassis

McFactory Motorsports are currently working on an aluminium main chassis for Serpent’s Project 4X touring car and have released first images. The optional chassis will feature some extensive machining that not only gives a unique look but it will also assist with controlled flex while being light of weight at the same time. No word yet on a release date but it is understood that the chassis will become available soon.

Micha Widmaier wins at Bike Park GP

The recent inaugural Indoor Bike Park GP in Pfäffikon, Switzerland not only saw the running of an 1/8th E-Buggy class but also 1/10th scale racing. In the 4WD Buggy category it was SWorkz’s Micha Widmaier who took the win thanks to coming out fastest in all three A-mains. In second and third the TLR duo of Markus Streuli and Felix Koegler completed the podium result.

Yeah Racing X Dinky SCX10 II cantilever suspension kit

Yeah Racing have teamed up with Dinky RC to present a cantilever suspension kit for the Axial SCX10 II and SCX10. The inline suspension design allows for the use of flat beds, full drop beds, and increased interior room when compared to the original shock and body mount setup. More articulation is made possible by the high ratio suspension system thanks to the cantilever system which will allow for maximum tyre contact whilst navigating through off-road terrain. The kit comes pre-assembled and ready to drop it into the chassis.

SMC Totemic brushless stock motors

SMC have introduced their new Totemic brushless stock motors. Development focus has been on producing a solid platform that does not fade and still produces maximum output thanks to an optimised coil resistance. The Totemic family of motors include 13.5, 17.5 and 21.5 turn motors, each comes fitted with a 12.5mm rotor with the strongest magnets available. 12.3mm rotors are available for those looking for a bit more RPM. All motors come with pure copper solder tabs and collector ring, each gold plated for the best resistance and minimum oxidization. The motors are ROAR approved and available now.
