Avid B6-series shock standoffs

Coming from Avid and made for the Team Associated B6-series buggies is an aluminium shock standoff set. The standoffs are a direct replacement for the kit parts, including two short front and two long rear shock mounts, as well as four Delrin pivot bushings. The standoffs are made of black anodised 7075 aluminium with a 7mm nut as the base to easily install and a long fully threaded stem to help prevent bent shock mount screws while throwing down laps. The Delrin pivot bushings are designed to rest against the smooth standoff instead of the screw which extends the life of them however they can be replaced to help maintain a tight fit in the shock cap when needed.

RDRP Team Associated B6 brass C & D mounts

Revolution Design Racing Products have introduced the C and D brass rear arm mounts for the Team Associated B6 and B6D. The suspension hangers are direct replacements for the kit parts and they add valuable weight especially when running in low-traction conditions or when the track is getting bumpier. Machined from black-coated brass and sporting gold-colour chamfered edges, the heavy suspension hangers shift the weight bias further back for improved traction. The mounts can be used together or separately with the C mount, in front of the rear axle, greatly reducing the unwanted pendulum effect very rear mounted weights can create. Both the C and D mount are available separately from now on.

Former 1/8th Nitro Buggy World and European Champion, Robert Batlle has announced his departure from Modelix Racing. The change comes hot on the heels of the Baldo brothers/Modelix Racing split and it will affect areas such as tyres, engines and fuel but for now it is understood that he will continue to run Mugen buggies. In a statement issued on Facebook the multi-time Spanish national champion has the following to say:

After many remarcable moments with Modelix, time has come for a change in my equipment. It’s been some great years and I want to thank, Marc, Christian, Roger and everyone at Modelix for believing in this project and helping me through this awesome journey, achieving a Worlds, one Euros, 6 Nats and many other victories. This is our achievement, because only when a working team provides what is needed and makes it the best possible way, great things can be done together. I want to end this text by doing a special mention to our friendship, to all the Modelix family, it has been real and I feel proud for it. Thank you so much for this long relationship that we will preserve forever.

Thanks, Modelix Family.

Axon High Big Bore Shock 1/10th touring car dampers

Japanese company Axon have introduced their all-new High Big Bore Shock absorber for 1/10th touring cars. Designed to deliver maximised corner speed the dampers offer an increased volume while maintaining an outer diameter compatible to most of today’s shock springs. A unique shock body design with a tapered upper section near the shock cap also makes for very well balanced progressive damping which further helps to up speeds in corners. The shocks come in sets of four, including 3-hole pistons, and they are available in variants for the Yokomo BD7/DB8, Xray T4 and Tamiya TRF 419X. Not included are the upper and lower ball ends, spring cups and springs with these parts need to be taken from the respective chassis kits.
