Mugen MBX7-series high-traction differential sets

Mugen Seiki have announced the soon release of four new gear differential sets for the MBX7 series of off-road and on-road cars. They come in three different front and rear diff gear sizes of 42T or 44T for the MBX7R and MGT7, as 46T set for the front and rear of the MBX7TR and also as 46T centre diff for the nitro buggy and truggy. All utilise updated 10T/20T internal gears that make for higher internal friction which can lead to improved traction while allowing the use of softer diff oils at the same time for better steering and bump track handling. All sets will become available by mid/end of January.

JConcepts introduce 2017 race team

Following last week’s announcement of Ryan Cavalieri and David Ronnefalk as part of JConcepts’s 2017 race team line-up, the US company has welcomed more drivers to their team for this year. The latest additions include seasoned racers such as Jake Thayer, Tommy Hinz and Chris Jarosz but also a lot of up and coming talents that for sure will soon make an impact on the scene.

Tamiya release new touring car option parts

Tamiya have introduced several option parts for their range of touring cars including the TRF419/418 and TA07. First up are medium stiffness suspension arms. Introduced with the TRF419X the A-arms fit the TRF419/418 and TA07 machines and their slightly softer material makes for improved control in low traction conditions. The set includes one front and one rear arm and it is compatible with all TRF418-design suspensions.

SWorkz S104-series aluminium rear shock tower

Coming from SWorkz and made for the S104-series of 1/10th 4WD buggies is an aluminium rear shock tower. The part is machined from high-quality 7075 material and it comes black anodised and with silver chamfered edges. The tower offers a variety of shock and camber link mounting positions and it makes for improved structural rigidity when attacking tracks with demanding jumps.

Reno Savoya powered by Thor Fuel

RC Concept have announced that multiple EFRA European and French National Champion, Reno Savoya will be using Thor fuel for 2017. The TLR driver will power his RC Concept engines using the new juice and he has the following to say:

After many tests, I feel Thor Fuel is the best fuel I have ever run. The stability of my MC5R is awesome with it and I have gain almost 45sec runtime in every conditions. I am super happy, and I advice everyone to try this fuel.

Dario Balestri joins Max Power

Max Power have announced the addition of Italian frontrunner, Dario Balestri to their team. The multiple national and European champion recently joined the ever growing Infinity team and following several years with Capricorn and after using Max Power-built Tesla engines last year, he will now be running Max Power branded power plants in his 1/8th and 1/10th scale rides for 2017.
