Yaniv Sivan wins Rd4 of Israeli League

Last weekend saw the 3rd round of the Israeli League take place at Speed Racing’s track. Following 4 rounds of qualifying Kyosho/Reds driver Yaniv Sivan took the TQ spot for the final. The final started while Yaniv Sivan taking the lead followed by Or Balulu with a battle for third between Aviv Maymon an Ido Carmon going on. An early mistake by Yaniv Sivan saw him lose 2 places, however he recovered fast and took back the lead. Aviv Maymon unfortunately hit engine problems and dropped out of contention and so after 40 minutes Yaniv Sivan took the win ahead of Or Balulu, with Ido Carmon completing the podium in 3rd.

VRC Pro reveal new Rally X class

VRC have introduced a new and exciting racing class in VRC Pro, called Rally X (Rally Cross). Based on the popular WRX style rally racing, VRC Pro delivers a completely new r/c racing experience, a true mix of on and offroad racing on special Rally X tracks. Rally X events will also visit existing on-road tracks like Heemstede and Messina in the future with these tracks converted to RallyX style tracks for these events. The 2016 VRC Worlds kick off with Rally X on the X1 track located in a harbor container terminal area. The X1 and MACH-X tracks will be the first tracks available for Rally X. Rally X is a new class of r/c racing that is unique to VRC Pro. Rally car racing does not exist in real life r/c racing, but as it combines on and off-road racing many r/c racers are expected to embrace this spectacular class. Rally X will be released on November 29 when the 2016 VRC Worlds kick off on X1.

T-Works Xray X1 2017 options

Not wasting any time, T-Works have introduced a whole host of new items for the newly released Xray X1 2017. New items include a set of 64-grade titanium ball ends, a complete titanium turnbuckle set, as well as a hybrid version, and a load of different screw sets. The screw sets include full titanium with the newly announced UFO head, gold plated steel screw set, a mix of titanium and 7075-T6 orange anodised screws and finally a complete set of orange anodised aluminium screws.

Luca Piromalli joins Capricorn

Capricorn have announced the signing of 2015 European B Champion Luca Piromalli to their team. Highly experienced and very helpful with everyone at the track, Luca will be behind the wheel of a new LAB C-803 powered by Tesla engines. Luca had this to say:

I would like to thank Serpent and Sprint RC for the last, successful season and am looking forward for this new adventure with Patrizio and the Capricorn team.

Hagberg & Nutting win at BRCA 1/12th Rd2

The second round of the British LMP-12 national series took place at the permanent MB Models facility in Leeds. The meeting was held over two days, with Saturday being 13.5 fixed timing for all drivers, and Sunday being split between 6.5 fixed timing modified and 13.5 fixed timing Sports Modified. The quality of the field was credibly high, with past World Champions David Spashett and Alexander Hagberg heading the entry list. Past National Champions Olly Jefferies and Chris Kerswell were also guaranteed front runners, along with the Schumacher team headed by Andy Murray, who had used the track extensively to test their new LMP car, the Eclipse.

René Kölbel joins Xray Factory team

Xray have announce that top Austrian on-road racer René Kölbel has joined their factory team. René will be driving the X1 and T4 on-road platforms at major international races including ETS. A front runner and race winner at the popular Mibosport Cup, he had the following to say:

I would like to thank Xray for the given trust in me. I drive the T4 and I’m excited about the quality and functionality of Xray RC cars, therefore it was clear for me to join the Xray team in the formula class as well. Xray X1 is a very good car with a lot of potential. During the season I will participate at all major races including ETS, and of course, the National series as well. I will be available at the Austrian races to help to any Xray drivers, so do not hesitate to contact me with your questions.

Xray T4 aluminium fan mount

New from Xray for the T4 comes this super smart fan mount designed specifically for the T4 platform.
