VP Pro have introduced their Electric Tool Holder tray for the use with tool tips found on electric-powered rotary tools. A common sight especially in 1/8th scale racing the rotary tools allow for swift and easy tool tip changes and this is were VP Pro’s tool holder tray steps in as it holds up to 24 different tool tips along with a glow igniter and also two quick-change handles. The tray measures 142x58x16mm and it is made from lightweight yet durable black-anodised aluminium. Laser-etched logos round out the high-quality look.

Following several teaser images Italian company Bittydesign have introduced their all-new Ascari 190mm touring car bodyshell. Developed in cooperation with surface modelling engineers and car designers the body features an all-new look with performance to match. With a focus on consistent steering, thanks to the stepped front-end design, and balanced rear downforce, utilising a channeled roof and rear window section, the EFRA-legal body also offers high overall grip thanks to sculptured side skirts, making it ideal for both asphalt and carpet racing. It is made using lightweight 0.75mm Lexan material and it comes including window masks, decal sheet and lightweight wing mounting hardware.

TLR 22-4 2.0 1/10th 4WD buggy – Coming soon

The latest TLR vehicle to receive a year 2016 treatment is the company’s somewhat ageing 22-4 1/10th 4WD buggy kit, according to several leaked images and an official announcement. No details are known yet but it is understood that the kit will feature updated front wishbones for increased durability while the rear end received a make-over with a new aluminium camber link plate sporting vertically mounted inner camber ball studs for easy roll centre adjustments. It is also highly likely that the 2.0 kit will take a shorty LiPo pack right from the box and it may also feature revised front and rear differentials. All information about features and specifications will become available on the 12th of May.

Hobbywing WiFi Express module

Hobbywing have introduced their new WiFi Express module for the use with the Xerun and Ezrun range of brushless speed controllers. Used in lieu of the LCD Programming Box the device allows for easy setting changes of the controller’s software using an iOS or Android-based mobile device while also giving access to the data logging feature of the XR10 Pro speed controller. On top of this the module makes for easy firmware updates to stay up-to-date with the latest releases. The device is powered by the controller’s build-in fan port, it measures 25.7×25.7×8.8mm and weighs in at only 11g.

Exotek XB2 optional rear suspension holders

Coming from Exotek and made for the XB2 2WD off-road buggy are new rear/front brass and rear/rear aluminium suspension holders. Starting with the RF suspension mount, the part is machined from heavy brass material to add 18 gram of weight in front of the rear axle. Doing so will add traction and stability when track conditions call for it with the mount sporting a protective black coating while remaining the stock geometry. The RF mount is usable on both the Carpet and Dirt Edition kits.

Hanna, Mitch & Bernard win at Force Series Rd2

Round two of the Force Series was held in Perry, Florida at Blue Rock Raceway. With other races being scheduled at the same time, the turnout was uncertain, but the Force Series didn’t disappoint on Saturday with a total entry count over 125. The Blue Rock track conditions, a mix of hard packed blue groove areas with some dust mixed in, stayed about the same for round one of practice but the mains saw an increase of more dust at the beginning and it tapered off as the sun would fall and the race finished under the lights. Both A1’s for E-Buggy and E-Truggy saw JR Mitch and John Bernard both found wins, but it was only John who came back in A2 with a win, as Griffin Hanna won A2 in E-Buggy which gave him the overall win.

Alan Hewitt teams up with ARC USA

Alan Hewitt teams up with ARC USA

ARC USA have announced the signing of current 13.5 Reedy Race of Champions winner, Alan Hewitt. Alan will be using the ARC R11 chassis for the 2016 race season starting with the Reedy Race of Champions this month and he also will attend the ROAR Paved Nationals, IIC and several international races including the Asian On-road Championships. About the move to ARC Alan says:

I am overjoyed and filled with excitement to join Team ARC USA. The quality, fit and finish of the car is excellent. The car has so much corner speed and responds very well to setup changes. I would like to thank Paul Dabao and Willie Chung for this opportunity and hope to continue to learn and progress with the team.

Lorenzo Crolla doubles at French Nationals Rd3


This past weekend the third round of the French Electric Off-road Nationals was held at the Mutzig astro turf track. The weather was nice and sunny with high temperatures making for a lot of traction. In the 2WD class Lorenzo Crolla and Nico Risser battled for the TQ with the better end for Nico while in 4WD, after a troubled start, Lorenzo would take the TQ from Armand Lanthaume.
