BMT 802GTX 1:8 GT Alu Steering Block and Rear Upright

Italian specialist nitro onroad chassis manufacturer BMT has released new Aluminium Steering Blocks and Rear Uprights for its 802GTX 1:8 GT chassis.  Kicking off the 2025 season, both an 1:8 Onroad and 1:8 GT World Championship year, with a number of new option part releases for each of its nitro onroad kit offerings, the 802GTX Steering Blocks and Rear Uprights are made from 7075 aluminium alloy with a blue anodised finish and as an upgrade offer greater rigidity and precision to the car.

Mugen Seiki confirm Volker for MIBO International

Inaugural MIBO International Champions Mugen Seiki has confirmed that their lead driver Ronald Volker will return to the Czech race for a third consecutive year next month.  In 2023 Volker won the first edition of MIBO International and last year returned finishing runner up to victor Michal Orlowski, the Polish racer already confirmed for his attempt retain his Touring Car title and add an offroad title at the February 7-9th race.  Hosted by Mibosport, which is owned by former top international Czech touring car racer Michal Bok, MIBO International is unique event in that two side by side tracks bring together both onroad and offroad racing.  The 3rd edition of the event, which is staged in the Sports V Hotel in Hrotovice, the 250 entries includes factory team drivers from Schumacher, Sworkz, Yokomo, Team Associated, Mugen Seiki and Xray.

Xray X4F’25 Alu Front Fixed/Active Shock Holder

Another new option part release from Xray for its X4F’25 Front Wheel Drive Touring Car is this Aluminium Front Fixed/Active Shock Holder.  This versatile active shock holder uses shims for adjusting the shock position in more precise shock angle increments.  All shocks are located 3mm lower, improving CG, cornering speed and stability, while also making the car easier to drive and more resistant to traction rolling.  The Front shock holders offer active or fixed dampening setting alternatives.  The Fixed setting is the traditional shock mounting method, while removing the M3x8 screw allow the Active holder bracket to pivot, softening the front suspension dampening to improve off-power steering and increase rotation in high traction conditions.  The shock holders are made from premium Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium and black anodised.

Senesi Motorsport Arena opens in Italy

Italy’s Senesi Motorsport, the brand of reigning EFRA 1:8 GT European Champion Natanaele Senesi, has announced the opening of their own 1:10 Indoor RC Track which they have appropriately named Senesi Motorsport Arena.  Great to see Italy getting a new permanent onroad track, it is located in Missaglia (LC) in the north of country which is conveniently located only 30 minutes away from Milan Bergamo Airport or 1-hour from Milan Malpensa Airport.  The track is open only to 1:10 Electric classes and it is made with world famous ETS carpet, outlined by white and blue curbs.  Senesi Motorsport Arena will officially open to the public on February 1st and it will be open every weekend 09.00 – 18.00 and every Wednesday night 18.00 – 24.00.

Reds Racing engines for Neumann

Italian engine brand Reds Racing has announced that former 1:8 GT World Champion Joern Neumann has joined its team line-up and will use their engines to power his Sworkz cars in both Nitro Buggy and GT.  On the announced the German driver said, ‘I am looking forward to join Reds Racing and use their nitro engines for the 2025/26 season.  After testing them, I was impressed by the performance and power.  Thank you to Federica, Marco and Mario for making it possible to join their team.’

RugRacers Round 3 – Report

Round 3 of British indoor touring car series Rug Racers took place over the weekend where it was Schumacher’s Elliott Harper who made it three from three in the Hertford Radio Car Club series.  Harper who took control from the get go setting a new FTQ time in each of the opening 3 qualifiers, which was enough for the overall TQ with Q4 proving slower.  Lining up on pole behind him would be Bailey Graves and Dan Robins. The opening A-Main saw the British National Champion take a comfortable lights to flag victory with Bailey holding position ahead of Dan Robins. A2 saw Harper lead from the off but the battle behind was super close with Robins able to make his way past Bailey to take the 2nd spot.  Overall Harper took victory from Robins & Bailey by virtue of a faster Leg 1 Race time.  The result earns Harper the overall Modified title with 2 rounds to spare.

Xray X4F Alu 1.5mm Flex Chassis

New from Xray for their X4F Front Wheel Drive Electric Touring Car is this 1.5mm thick aluminium chassis with unique flex characteristics. Generating more overall traction and improved steering, it is suitable for low to medium traction carpet conditions, as well as high traction asphalt tracks.  The narrow chassis is 84mm wide with tapered bottom edge of the chassis to reduce contact between the chassis and the ground during cornering to improve speed.  Specially CNC-machined countersunk screws from Hudy Spring Steel must be used to make the assembly possible.  Optional screws are available also as a complete set featuring 33pcs of special 110° screws to completely install the chassis.

Sobue wins GRC Indoor track reopening SSOGO race

Having won last year’s single round Asian Onroad Championship at the newly renovated outdoor track at GRC Raceway in Korea, Axon driver Akio Sobue returned over the weekend to win the first race on the track’s newly completed indoor track.  Hosting the ‘SSOGO 2025’ race to reopen the very impressive newly redone indoor facility, the event attracted a number of international racers including Xray’s Nicolas Lee, Xpress’ Yugo Nagashima and Sobue along with his Axon team-mate Hayato Ishioka.  Racing to 17.5T Boosted spec, qualifying would see Sobue top all three qualifiers to secure the overall TQ ahead of fellow Japanese racer Nagashima, Lee and Ishioka.  Sobue continued that form in the finals wrapping up the win after A2.  Winning A3 ahead of runner-up Nagashima, Ishioka would complete the podium.  Finishing P4 Lee, a race promoter himself who puts on the annual eSIC event in his home country of Singapore, has produced a video tour of the Galenaro Racing Circuit (GRC) which highlights the impression vision of track owner Yun Tak Kim – click here to view video.
