ONG Offroad Clutch System

More new items from Davide Ongaro’s ONG brand, in partnership with RC-Project, with the release of their new Offroad Clutch System. Developed to make the engine power output more linear and smoother to provide the best traction, vehicle drivability and improve fuel consumption. The 34mm flywheel has been made from steel and features a collar to protect the engine’s front bearing from dirt, even in high-dust conditions. The clutch system comes with 3 aluminium shoes and 1.0 mm springs but you can also get optional parts such as 0.9 mm springs. The nut, the cone and the 3 shims are included in the kit.

ONG titanium clutch retaining screw

This new ONG clutch retaining screw has been made from grade 5 Titanium due to its better thermal expansion characteristics compared to steel. This will make it possible to unscrew/screw without problems, even with a hot engine. It has a total length of 9mm, of which 6mm are thread, and a protrusion from the crankshaft of only 3mm so as to avoid collisions with the tank in case of excessive flex of the chassis. The new geometry eliminates any rubbing between bearing/bell, while the additional external diameter protects the bearing from dust and foreign debris.
