Masami to come out of retirement for ETS debut

Legend of the sport Masami Hirosaka is to come out of international racing retirement to make his debut in the World famous Yokomo Euro Touring Series.  Having officially retired from top flight competition after the 2008 Touring Car World Championships in Thailand, the same year the first season of ETS was completed, the 14-time World Champion will compete in the German round in two weeks time (Feb 5-7).  Having last raced in Europe during the 2006 World Championships in Italy, the multiple onroad & offroad World Champion will be one of 8 World Champions who make up the record entry in Muelheim-Kaerlich.

Arnaud Buffat wins at SIORC series Rd3

Round 3 of the Swiss SIORC series was held in Geneva last weekend. The 2WD class had Arnaud Buffat walking away with the day’s win from David Naldini on the runner-up spot. Cham Dassanayake would round out the top 3 result in front of Cyrille Gruaz and Didier Baltensperger.

Jared Tebo back at Pro-Line Racing

Pro-Line Racing has announced the return of US frontrunner, Jared Tebo to their team. The former World Champion only announced his departure from long-term tyre sponsor AKA some weeks ago and he is now back with Pro-Line Racing to use their tyres and accessories. Jared has the following to say about the deal:

New from Team Magic come aluminium pivot balls for the E4 series of touring cars. The pivot balls are machined from 7075 aluminium, they come in three different specifications including a 5x4mm, a 5x7mm and a special kingpin pivot ball variant. The alloy parts help to reduce the overall weight and they come black anodised for wear.

Kuba Simurda wins at Moravian-Silesian Cup Rd4

The forth round of the Moravian-Silesian Cup attracted some 80 entries to race in several electric on-road classes. The track was made using the famous “ETS” carpet, making for a constant grip level the whole day. In the Touring Modified class Kuba Simurda was the man to beat as he took a pretty easy win from Pavel Martinec, who hugely bettered his qualifying performance, coming from 5th on the grid. The top 3 result was completed by Karel Kratochvil.

Travis Amezcua teams up with Maclan Racing

Maclan Racing have announced the addition of former National Champion and multi-time Worlds Finalist, Travis Amezcua to join their racing and development team for 2016. Travis has already been working with Maclan to develop its new line of high performance motors and speed controls. Travis’ first official outing for Maclan Racing will be at the 2016 Reedy Race of Champions that Red RC will cover live from Thursday the 21st on.

Spec-R MF-01X aluminium rear hub set

Spec-R have introduced an aluminium rear hub set for the Tamiya MF-01X off-road vehicle. Included are blue anodised aluminium uprights that utilise composite inserts for the suspension pins, as well as carbon fibre camber plates along a set of mounting hardware. The alloy hubs make for improved durability and precision while adding visual impact at the same time.

Xray XB4 2.0mm upper graphite chassis brace

Coming from Xray and made for the XB4 buggy is a 2.0mm upper graphite chassis brace. Cut from high-quality carbon fibre the part is designed to fit atop the composite chassis brace and it makes for less flex and thus more stability. When using the upper brace, the composite rear lower brace has to be removed.
