Contact RC Tyres has announced top 1:12 racer Ollie Payne as a new international team driver. The British driver previously ran with Japanese brand Ulti but following his recent move to new chassis sponsor Schumacher the signing is a logical one given Contact is one of the brands in their portfolio.

Japanese RC Drift manufacturer ReveD has introduced a new aluminium spur gear holder that can be attached to RDX and MC-1. It can be used when changing the spur gear from the RDX kit standard configuration. The spur gear is sandwiched between a lightweight aluminium separate type holder with SE (Shining Edge) processing, and it uses a centre lock method that secures it with a single aluminium nylon nut. The 4-point positioning method eliminates the need to worry about centering the spur gear, allowing for quick spur gear replacement.
Top British Championship 1:8 Onroad racer Tim Wood will race Hasi Tuned engines in 2023. The Shepherd driver joins the engine brand of Swiss onroad star pairing Silvio Hächler and Simon Kurzbuch in an important year that will see him race at the World Championships in Japan along with his usual British and ENS campaigns. A 7-time British Champion and European Finalist, the experience Wood said, ‘“I am so impressed with the attention to detail and focus on absolute top quality the Hasi team have. I am super excited to start this new journey and want to thank all at Hasi for the great opportunity”.

Xray has announced that UK driver Paul Crompton is joining the Xray Team to race the both its 1:10 electric and 1:8 nitro offroad platforms. With a 2023 programme that will include the 1:10 Offroad World Championships in Arizona in September, Crompton said, ” I’m really excited to join the Xray factory team, I can’t wait to to start racing with the cars and do everything I can to get the best results possible. Following the launch of their latest 1:10 electric touring car kit last Summer, Destiny have just released some new parts for their RX-10SR 3.0. The first of these are M3x18mm camber screws, made from high grade 64MAX titanium. Supplied as a 4 pcs pack they include one 2mm stainless pin for adjustment. Also released is a carbon fibre wave shape front brace, made from 2.0mm high grade carbon fibre with 1mm thickness of wave shape. It provides more flex than kit brace for more smooth steering response.
