Protoform Corvette C7.R 1/8th GT race body

Protoform Corvette C7.R 1/8th GT race body

Protoform brings Corvette Racing’s championship heritage to 1/8 GT Class racing with this officially-licensed Corvette C7.R race body. From the signature Corvette muscular stance and swept-back roofline, to the large front splitter and side vents, every detail of the 1:1 race car is captured to add scale realism to the world of 1/8 GT. The extensive decal sheet lets you deck out your C7.R with Corvette branded windshield headers, “Jake” skull hood logo, number plates, and USA flags. Included with the body is an add-on rear wing, secured with three oversized nylon screws and featuring 2 trim-lines and spill-plate sizes: a lower line for sanctioned racing, and an upper line for low-grip club racing. This body fits 1/8 GT cars with the longer (GT2) wheelbase of 360mm, such as the Kyosho Inferno GT2. GT1 class racers, don’t fret: a shorter wheelbase version (328mm) of the C7.R is coming soon.

Serpent Cobra SRX8 buggy

SerpentSRX8-1

Following a number of teasers, Serpent have finally released their all new Cobra SRX8 1/8th scale buggy. Designed by Billy Easton, the focus was on performance, ease of use and durability. A very well specced kit, the major changes include new gear-differentials that have a larger case to allow for more oil inside and a built in pressure compensation system, resulting in a more consistent diff over longer runs. A new gear-mesh plate system allows for easy and secure engine (dis)assembly without worrying about gear mesh. For tuning, the front and rear lower wishbones allow inserts to be both mounted in the top and bottom for many possible flex options, using no inserts, moulded inserts, carbon inserts, or mixed of both inserts. Finally the new angled steering system offers optimal Ackermann settings as well as reduced bumpsteer.
