Coelho Top Qualifier on EOS debut at Nürburgring

Touring car ace Bruno Coelho has stamped his mark on the world of 1:10 Electric offroad claiming the overall 2WD TQ at the Euro Offroad Series season opener at the Nürburgring. His debut EOS at the German event, the Xray driver claimed pole position for the finals after topping the final qualifier ahead of reigning champion Lee Martin.  With Martin taking Q2 & 3 the result left the two tied but with Coelho’s Q4 time the fastest of qualifying the Portuguese ace will carry no.1 on his buggy in the final. Winner of the last season’s finale, Schumacher’s Michal Orlowski will start third on the grid ahead of Xray’s Martin Wollanka with American Carson Vernimont completing the top half of the grid.

Martin takes Q2 at Nürburgring

Having said the next one would be better after finishing P3 in the opening qualifier of the the new season of the Euro Offroad Series at the Nürburgring, Lee Martin did just that topping Q2.  The only driver to run 17-laps, the Yokomo driver topped a trio of Xray’s headed by Martin Wollanka and Q1 pace setter Bruno Coelho.  Only 9th in the first round, Martin Bayer would improve to post the 4th fastest time ahead of Carson Wernimont and young Team Associated charger Joakim Nicolaisen.

Coelho opens EOS account with TQ run

Having been the star of yesterday’s practice, Bruno Coelho has backed that up by opening his Euro Offroad Series debut with a TQ run.  Making his debut at the Season #5 opener at the Nürburgring in Germany, the Xray driver convincingly topped the first of the four 2WD qualifiers by over 3.5 seconds from EOS race winner Michal Orwloski, the pair the only drivers to 17-lap runs.  Behind them reigning champion Lee Martin would complete the Top 3 followed by Yokomo team-mate Carson Wernimont.

Coelho heads Xray 1-2 at Nürburgring

Making his Euro Offroad Series debut, Touring Car ace Bruno Coelho is proving the big surprise at the opening round of of Season #5 at the Nürburgring in Germany.  Having impressed when he posted the 3rd quickest time in 2WD practice earlier in the day, he headed an Xray 1-2 in 4WD practice ahead of team-mate Martin Bayer.  With Xray’s Martin Wollanka ending up 4th fastest it was a promising start to the event for the Slovakian manufacturer. Closest to the Xrays over 3-consecutive laps would be reigning Champion Lee Martin who despite having battery issues in the second of the two seeding runs would put his all new Yokomo 3rd on the time sheets.

Reigning double Euro Offroad Series Champion Lee Martin has opened Season #5 in the best way possible as he topped 2WD practice at the Nürburgring.  The Yokomo driver set the fastest 3-consecutive laps ahead of last year’s 2WD season finale winner Michal Orlowski, the Schumacher driver 0.389 of a second off.  Making an impressive EOS debut this weekend, Touring car ace Bruno Coelho completing the Top 3 with his Xray ahead of fellow touring car star Marc Rheinard

It has since grown to be one of the most anticipated and prestigious RC races in the world. The Touring Car and Off-Road Race of Champions events are revered across the globe, and now Reedy along with the British Radio Car Association have announce that the inaugural Reedy International 1/12 Race of Champions will take place at the Centre:MK in Milton Keynes, UK on January 15th to 17th 2016. Axial’s new AR60 OCP full width axle adapter set widens the AR60 axles, creating an equal front and rear track width on 1/10th scale Yeti vehicles. This enables the use of any 12mm wheel to be used on the 1/10th scale Yeti without the use of special wheel adapters. The kit comes with extended steel axles, black anodised aluminium axle housing extenders, four cartridge bearings and all necessary hardware and it is compatible with all vehicles using AR60 axles such as the Yeti, Wraith, Wraith Spawn, AX10 Ridgecrest, and AX10 Deadbolt.

Exotek Sport 3 orange anodised alloy option parts

Exotek have a range of aluminium option parts for HPI Racing’s Sport 3 4WD club-level touring car available in the form of a spur gear mount, centre driveshaft and 12mm clamping hex adapters. Starting with the spur gear mount, the CNC-machined part weighs in at only 2.6g versus the 8.4g of the original steel adapter. The mount accepts stock or aftermarket gears with 2 or 4-bolt pattern such as the ones from HPI, Kimbrough and Xenon. Coming orange anodised for wear and looks the adapter is a direct fit on the Sport 3.
