German company Shepherd have announced the forthcoming release of the Velox V10 Pro Black Edition kit. The popular 200mm nitro on-road car is equipped with black anodised aluminium parts instead of the regular Shepherd blue parts, giving the successful platform a new and stylish look. The black aluminium parts will be also available as a complete conversion kit or as single pieces in about two weeks.

The third round of the Italian 1/8th Nitro Buggy National Championships was held at the Fermo track. Following radio problems during the practice rounds Alessandro Remia took the TQ in the qualifiers while also scoring the fastest lap that was on par with the Expert class drivers. Sunday’s semifinals again had Alessandro coming out successful and he also went on to win the main race, leaving Andrea Pellegrino and Adriano Fabianelli in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Novarossi have a new nitro glow plug available in the form of the C8TGFB. Designed for the use in 1/8th on-road engines the Tubro-style plug is colder than the respective HB plug and best used in ambient temperature of 10 to 40 degree Celsius.

Made to fit most 1/12th and 1/10th scale pan cars are the new premium ceramic differential balls from Muchmore. Crafted to a diameter of 1/8″ or 3.175mm the balls run very true for improved diff action and maximum smoothness. They come in sets of 12 and fit all diff and main gears that make use of 1/8″ balls.

Yeah Racing have introduced an aluminium wheelie bar set with shock absorbers for Tamiya’s WR02 2WD off-road vehicle. The all-aluminium construction helps to pull more stable wheelies for a longer time as the shock absorber soaks up any imperfections of the track, both on-road and off-road. The Swedish 1/8th Nitro Buggy Nationals were recently held at the MK Eskil club in mixed weather conditions. The weekend started with free and controlled practice on Friday followed by five rounds of qualifying on Saturday. As rain was predicted for Saturday and Sunday every of the qualifiers would be a rocket round for the drivers and finally it was David Ronnefalk who would take the overall TQ by winning four rounds until rain started to fall which made him skip the fifth and final qualifier. In the semifinals David then came out fastest to start from pole position into the 45 minute main final. The start went pretty well for David and he was able to open a gap on his competitors and about 20 minutes into the race he had lapped everyone at least once. From there he was able to cruise to the win and although he made a mistake around the 30 minute mark he was able to take the win and with it the National Title some two laps in front of Andreas Edvinsson. Third placed Christoffer Svensson rounded out the podium some 9 seconds short on Andreas.
