Boost RC IF14 Speciale 1.5mm Spring Steel Chassis

New from Italy’s Boost RC comes this Spring Steel Chassis for the Infinity IF14 Speciale 1:10 Electric Touring Car.  Engineered from high-grade 1.5mm spring steel and developed through extensive CAD design and track testing the chassis plate is designed to enhance stability, consistency and corner speed in medium to high grip conditions.  Compared to the standard carbon fibre chassis, the spring steel version provides a smoother and more linear handling response. Overall traction is increased, rotation becomes more progressive, and snap reactions typically generated by chassis flex during rapid direction changes are significantly reduced.  The result is a car that feels calmer, more predictable and easier to drive at the limit.  Suitable for both carpet and asphalt racing, the steel chassis lowers the centre of gravity and optimises weight distribution, allowing the car to carry more speed through technical sections while maintaining excellent balance.  The chassis is supplied with custom Torx T10 screws, provided in a quantity greater than required to include spare replacements. Track testing delivered particularly impressive results.  During outdoor asphalt sessions on a short 11-second lap layout, the Boost RC spring steel chassis achieved a best lap time improvement of three tenths over the standard carbon configuration. On a track of this length, a 0.3s gain is substantial.  The evaluation was conducted using a 13.5 EFRA motor to provide controlled and comparable performance data.  Boost RC state, ‘Using 1.5mm spring steel gives us complete control over the torsional characteristics.  It allows us to fine-tune the flex profile exactly the way we want.  We’ve seen certain details we introduced, such as Torx screws and the black finish, become a source of inspiration within the market… and perhaps the thickness will be next.’

1up Racing UltraLite Front Bumpers

Randy Caster’s 1up Racing has as part of its UltraLite product range added UltraLite Front Bumpers for the Associated TC8, Awesomatix A800RR, Axon TC10/4, Mugen MTC3, Schumacher Mi9 XRAY X4 ’26 and Yokomo MS 2.0. The bumpers are engineered for modern 1:10 touring car racing, combining exceptional durability with extremely low weight to preserve steering response and front-end feel. Manufactured in the USA by Alera3D from premium European polymers, the UltraLite’s advanced internal geometry resists folding at high speed and provides consistent support for today’s low, aerodynamic bodies — even in heavy racing conditions. Smooth, rounded top and bottom edges reduce the chance of snagging on curbs, track features, or bodywork, while a subtly tapered leading edge allows the bumper to conform cleanly to common touring car body shapes for a precise, race-ready fit. The leading edge is finished with integrated 1up Racing logos, giving the bumper a clean, professional appearance that’s instantly recognisable at the track. More UltraLite Front Bumper fitments will be added soon.

Avid Guardian & Sweeper Carpet Tyres

American upgrade parts producer Avid Racing Concepts has released two new 1:10 Buggy Carpet Tyres, the Guardian front and the Sweeper rear.  The Guardian was designed to give predictable steering that stays consistent.  After a single break-in run, Avid claim the tyre settles into its true performance window and holds it. Instead of chasing balance from run to run, you get a front end that stays planted, confident, and repeatable.  For the rear, the Sweeper is designed around an aggressive arched chevron pin layout, it delivers strong forward drive and exceptional side bite without feeling edgy or unpredictable.  Whether you’re carrying speed through long sweepers or getting on power out of the corner, they say the Sweeper keeps the rear planted so you can push with confidence lap after lap.  Both tyres are offered in two compounds.  A3 Medium Green is best suited for high-bite surfaces such as office carpet, tracks that allow traction compound, or extended practice sessions where longevity is important.  The A4 Soft Red is designed for lower-bite surfaces (CRC, Beach, and EOS) style carpets and where traction compound is not allowed. It delivers maximum forward and steering grip when you are willing to trade a bit of wear for performance.

SkyRC Digital RC Chassis Ride Height Gauge

SkyRC is teasing a new digital ride height gauge that aims to remove guesswork from one of the most critical setup steps in RC racing.  Traditional RC height gauges rely on visual alignment and manual reading and while they work small variations in angle, eyesight, or setup position can lead to inconsistent results.  A digital ride height gauge removes that uncertainty. Precise numeric readouts turn millimeters into clear data, making adjustments intentional, repeatable, and easy to verify—whether you’re setting up at the bench or making quick changes at the track.  Featuring a slim carbon fibre measuring blade, a clear digital readout with 0.1 mm resolution across a 2–38 mm measuring range.  Built-in guided calibration ensures accuracy from the start. Using the included calibration block, the device verifies measurements at 2 mm, 10 mm, and 20 mm, automatically stepping through each reference point for reliable, repeatable results. Setup doesn’t always happen from one direction so the gauge features a one press the rotates the display 180°, keeping readings clear from any angle.
