Robitronic have shown of their new line up of servos under the ‘Highest’ name. They say that the price and quality is somewhere in the middle between the Savox and KO brands and fall under two categories called Speed and Torque. All have full or partial metal casings and the car versions are aimed towards the 1/8th offroad category. …weight. We are told that the car will come in at close to the proposed new weight limit by EFRA. There will be a team edition of the S411 touring car which comes with the new RCM shocks, new foam front bumper, LiPo pack holders as standard, flex top plate and also with an improved gear diff. As with a lot of the cars in the line there will also be a Sport version with cheaper materials at a lower cost and an RTR version, in this case with Savox servo and Hobbywing electronics. French brand Hobbytech were showing off their ever expanding line, which apart from the Spirit buggy which is finally in production, they have a wide range of RTR of Race Roller chassis. The Race Roller STR8 EPX2 is a pre assembled brushless powered 1/8th scale buggy whose configuration is based on the Spirit buggy but which has been adapted to its new power plant featuring a large battery box which is balanced off the electronics on the opposing side. …was showing himself to be in top form, getting a proper handle on 1/8th racing after his switch from Touring Car. Simon Willetts showed good pace in this round to put himself second and also in with a chance for overall TQ. The final round of qualifying saw Elliott Boots show what he is capable of by putting his RB/Savox equipped Mugen at the top of the timesheets. Matrix racing tires have announced that Raimondo Gilletti will join their already impressive team for the 2010 season. The Italian factory Team Magic/Novarossi driver will use Matrix tires in all of this year’s Italian National championship rounds as well as during the 1/10th 200mm World Championships that take place this summer in the USA. Front running Team Magic/Novarossi factory driver Mario Spiniello has been in touch to tell us that he has signed a deal with Hot Race tyres. Competing at this year’s World Championships in Houston, Texas, along with the Italian National Championships, he believes his deal with Hot Race will yield some very good results results this year having already made a new lap record during testing at the L. Collari Track in Cassino in Italy, with a time of 14.991 and the only driver to run under 15 seconds. Mario also makes the change to Savox servos for the 2010 season….
