New from Etronix comes the 150A watt meter and power analyser that helps to prevent peak current damages of batteries, speed controllers, motors, wirings and connectors as it measures and analyses a range of parameters such as ampere, voltage, watt, ampere-hours and watt-hours. It comes in handy when setting cut-off voltages and to check battery capacity and health. Other applications include battery charger operation checks as well as receiver and servo current measurement of multi-servo applications. The compact device measures 85x42x25m, it weighs in at 82g and features a backlit 16×2 LC display.

Muchmore introduce the latest addition to their Impact FD2 line of competition batteries in the form of a 7.4V 3300mAh “flat type” battery pack. Built from 100C cells the hardcase battery sports standard 1S 1/12th scale pack dimensions of 93×46.8×18.5mm but in a 2S 7.4V configuration. Weighing in at only 149g the pack is usable with 1/12th and 1/10th scale pan cars as well as all classes that do not need tons of capacity but a lightweight power source.

Schumacher have new Core RC alloy offset servo arms available. Coming in popular 23T and 25T splines the offset design is ideal for a variety of vehicles such as Schumacher’s Mi5 Evo touring car. The clamping design allows for secure mounting and the sturdy alloy material does away with excessive flexing as associated with standard plastic arms. Multiple ball stud mounting positions allow for easy linkage setup and the arms come including a lightweight clamping screw.

Ronnefalk 2WD Top Qualifier at DHI Cup

David Ronnefalk got his 2015 season of to a positive start as he became Top Qualifier in 2WD Buggy at the DHI Cup.  The newly signed HB driver, who is running a Team C in 2WD, secured pole position for the A-Main with a third TQ run in the final round of qualifying at the Danish event.  Posting the third fastest time in Q4, it is former 2WD Champion Joern Neumann, also using Team C’s successful carpet track TM02 chassis, who will start second.  Neumann’s former team-mate Michal Orlowski who now represents defending champion manufacturer Schumacher secures third on the grid.

Volker takes Q2 at DHI Cup

Defending DHI Cup Champion Ronald Volker took the second round of qualifying this morning at the famous Danish event. The heat would see a number of drivers top the time screens over the 5-minutes but in the end it was the Yokomo driver who got the job done. 2.8-seconds down, Xray’s Alexander Hagberg would claim second with yesterday’s Q1 winner Yannic Prumper completing the Top 3.

AKA confirm factory team for 2015

More team updates with AKA announce that they have re-signed European/National/World Champions Jared Tebo, Ryan Cavalieri, Ryan Lutz, and David Ronnefalk to lead the factory team for the 2015 season. After a very successful 2014 year for all 4 superstars, they will be heading into the 2015 season with confidence that their cars will be hooked up at all of their 1:8 and 1:10 events.

Cody King to remain at Kyosho

Cody King to remain at Kyosho

Cody King has finalized a new contract with his long time chassis sponsor Kyosho. This contract extension will push the relationship between King and Kyosho to 15 years and beyond. During his tenure with Kyosho, Cody has 18 National A main appearances, 4 consecutive IFMAR Worlds final appearances, and one World Championship title in 2010. Cody will compete in the 1/10 off-road, and 1/8 off-road categories using Kyosho vehicles with the biggest race on the calendar for 2015 being the IFMAR 1/10 Off-Road World Championship at Yatabe Arena in Japan.

Neumann post first TQ run in Q3

Joern Neumann took the penultimate round of 2WD qualifying this morning at the DHI Cup.  The European Champion posted his first TQ run of the event ahead of the Schumacher’s of Michal Orlowski and David Hassel with Team C’s Tom Maquel fourth. Having taken the opening two qualifiers yesterday, David Ronnefalk’s third run would contain too many mistakes leaving him to post only the 5th fastest time just ahead of Team Associated’s up & coming Danish driver Jesper Rasmussen.
