Yokomo YD-2S rear toe control system

From Yokomo is this new rear toe control system that will dramatically improve the running performance of the YD-2S series. By installing a kingpin shaft on the rear hub carrier and connecting a linkage for toe control, it is possible to change the toe angle in response to suspension operation. Aluminium lower caster blocks, aluminium hub carriers and graphite arm plates are used for light weight and high rigidity. The damper is also mounted on the front side of the suspension arm, which reduces the weight of the rear overhang and gives it a racing look. For example, if the suspension is set to “Bump-in” which changes to “Toe-in” when the suspension is sunk, the car will have smooth turning performance at the entrance of the corner, but when the throttle is turned on at the exit of the corner, the car will accelerate with more rear grip. When the car is set to Bump Out, the rear grip is increased to facilitate acceleration, and when the car is set to Bump In, the car swings out dynamically from a stable straight to create a drift with a long distance. Also, the toe angle can be easily adjusted without steps, which greatly expands the range of settings.

Protoform Nissan GT-R R35 Pro Mod body & Outlaw wing

Protoform are proud to announce a partnership with Nissan. This collaboration begins with bringing the car they call ‘Godzilla’ to the No Prep RC Drag Racing scene for the first time, the Nissan GT-R R35 Pro Mod. The officially licensed body is the ultimate aerodynamic upgrade to your Losi 22S No Prep Drag Car or other 13.2″ wheelbase drag car. They combined the signature wide-mouth grille, side vents and powerful stance of the R35 GT-R with some stretched, pro-mod drag racing proportions to transform your no-prep car into a scale-1/4-mile import beast. It features a built-in spoiler, but for top-level Outlaw Class racers, or you can pair it with the upgrade Outlaw Wing Kit for maximum stability and performance at blazing fast speeds. Just trim the rear spoiler lip off your GT-R™ and mount the wing on the conveniently marked dimples.

Branson takes first EWS title

The fourth round of the 2021/2022 Essex Winter Series was held this weekend. As the championship was entering its final stages, there were opportunities for more titles to be decided. In the Scorpion Modified Class, Kyle Branson had a good chance of securing his first EWS Championship if things went his way. The Xray pilot got things off to the best start as he set the pace in qualifying, eventually topping all of the four rounds. Capricorn’s Alex Thurston kept Kyle honest however, running within a few seconds of Kyle and securing second on the A Final grid. Chris Grainger (Awesomatix) managed to find a new turn of speed to also put himself in the mix and often matching the times of Kyle and Alex and would line up third on the grid. The front half of the grid was completed by Harley Eldridge, the new Xray signing rebounding after a difficult debut last month for her new team, and Schumacher designer Andy Murray, piloting the production version of the Mi8 car he had penned himself.
