Rêve D AS-01 competition drift tire

Rêve D have announced the release of their first original drift tire, the AS-01. Suitable for any competitive environment, the material selected is a HDPE compound, which is ideal for the RC drift scene in longevity vs grip. By applying a matte finish to the contact surface and sidewalls, they have a stable performance straight from the packet. The Rêve D development team have done repeated testing to find the balance between high control and performance and not only on P tile and coloured concrete, but also on asphalt and carpet track surfaces. When fitted to the rear, they have optimised control over the lateral grip during drifting to a higher limit and enabled the driver to challenge deeper and longer angles.

Jefferies & Finlay take Rd1 of BRCA TC Nats

After missing out on a race series in 2020 the BRCA National touring car series got back underway this weekend with the first round of 2021 hosted by the Eastbourne club on the south coast. Numbers were a little down on previous years but with covid restrictions still in place this season is likely to have an unusual feel to it as drivers ease themselves slowly back to the track. Aiming for a fifth consecutive modified title Olly Jefferies made a dream start taking TQ ahead of Chris Grainger, but one the stars of qualifying was Ben Moorey, the local driver upsetting the established order with the fastest time in round three of modified qualifying, a result that put him third on the grid for the A final.

Rêve D ultra lightweight M4 nut

Rêve D have introduced their large-diameter ultra-lightweight M4 serrated nut, optimised for the rear of the car. Their original RD-013 nuts have been well received as being ideal for the front, these are their new rear specific competition M4 nuts. Increasing the diameter of the flanged part helps to control some of the lateral forces applied to the wheel mounting point, helping to improve side bite. The hexagonal dimensions are still 5.5mm which is the same as RD-013 in order to use the same box wrench for both front and rear.
