Pro-Line Mirage SS for RC10 Classic

Pro-Line Mirage SS for RC10 Classic

Having teased this Mirage SS through photo releases over the past week Pro-Line have finally released this Limited Edition body for the Associated RC10 Classic. Over 25 years ago Pro-Line began producing Championship winning accessories for the Original RC10 that serious enthusiasts could not live without. Now, Pro-Line, with permission from Team Associated, has reproduced the legendary Mirage SS for the RC10 Classic. The Mirage SS was the first racing body designed by Cliff Lett of RC Performance Specialties (RCPS) for the RC10. Many of the top Team Associated drivers used the Mirage SS exclusively. Brian Kinwald used the Mirage SS to win the 1993 IFMAR World Championship in Basildon, England. With a super low slung nose section and the iconic side pods and cab, the Mirage SS will make your buggy look good on and off the track. Pro-Line notes that this replica Mirage SS has minor alterations to keep the value of the Original Mirage SS bodies intact.

Daniel Kobbevik joins Associated & Reedy for 2014

Daniel Kobbevik joins Associated & Reedy for 2014

Team Associated and Reedy have announced the re-signing of young Norwegian driver Daniel Kobbevik for 2014. Daniel is already captivating crowds throughout Europe and Scandinavia with his fantastic results and stylish driving. At 8 years old he is one of the youngest drivers to ever be signed and already into his second year with the team he is a popular character with his racing buddies. Team Associated is back with a new approach and Daniel is part of the grand plan as Craig Drescher explains:

Kids bring many more attributes to the team other than lowering the average age. Our plan is to develop these guys through various means to not only better the drivers but learn from what they can teach us. We offer on and off track help along with many years experience and bring a family feeling back to the race track. Making the team a fun and professional group that can also give something back. We aim to have a group of juniors that learn about what it takes to win but also what it takes to be part of a team that enjoys what they do and help others. A calm and youthful team is something we are building for the future. Kids are the future and this is the part where Team Associated is rebuilding something towards that future. We are delighted with the response to the team and look forward to working more completely with these guys. Its brought a lot of fun and spirit back to the group.

LMR Avior 2-piece buggy rear wing

LMR Avior 2-piece buggy rear wing

LMR introduce the Avior 1/10 2-piece buggy rear wing. The second wing designed by LMR features design cues seen on the company’s Electra wing but now the centre section has been moulded flat so that it can house the 2nd piece of the wing. This small duct wing acts to force air onto the rear gurney when at speed and has proved to make the car feel very controllable at high speeds when sometimes they can feel on the edge. Also the side plates have been formed so they can be much taller, with cut lines to help you choose the perfect amount of side bite for your track. The wing is made from durable 1.5mm lexan material and it is available now.
