Protek RC 2135 1:8 Offroad Tuned Pipe Set

Working in conjunction with legendary offroad racer Ryan Maifield, ProTek RC has released the 2135 Tuned Exhaust Pipe with 80mm Manifold.  Featuring a narrow, long body design and mirror chrome like finish, the 1:8 Offroad exhaust also features a durable high-strength welded nipple.  Maifield has been testing, racing, and winning with a prototype 2135 over the course of the summer season.  On his experience with the new release from the AMain Hobbies owned brand, Maifield said, “I have really enjoyed incorporating this new 2135 pipe into my race program.  It provides smoother bottom end power but also more top speed.  The fuel economy is greatly enhanced, and the durability of the pipe is improved.”  The pipe set includes the tuned pipe and 80mm manifold, 3 manifold springs, 2 tuned pipe springs, 2 high temp manifold gaskets, and 1 set screw.

Avid B7 1+1mm Hub Link Mount

New from Avid Racing Concepts is this 1+1mm Hub Link Mount for the Team Associated B7 thats puts the ball stud in the same location but up 1mm.  Avid have done this because you always run a 1mm shim in this area at minimum and it is a pain to work on when removing.  On top of that, if you run the kit ball stud with the kit hub link mounts without the 1mm shim, it will pinch the bearing on the molded hubs and cause the dogbone not to spin freely.  The mount is black anodised with silver highlights on both sides and laser etched with our logo as well as the +1 to signify the ball stud is moved up 1mm, just like they do for the rear inner camber link mount that is +2mm.  Avid wish to clarify, they are aware that this is a +2mm when going back to the original B74 part being used and AE updated it to be 1mm higher for the B7 but since it isn’t labeled on the AE part as a +1, they thought this would be just as confusing.

In the latest release of their 1:8 Sector Body, Pro-Line has added a version for Team Associated’s RC8B4.1 1:8 Buggy platform.  Released back in August, the Sector features a ground-up redesign to optimise the handling of your buggy in the trickiest of track conditions.  The low-slung design features a laid-back windshield and long center fin for ideal stability and side bite, lowering your lap times.  The overall rake of the body contributes to the planted yet drivable feel of the Sector, while the body has the right amount of clearance around the gearbox, chassis, and bulkhead.  Made in the USA , the body is made with Crystal Clear Polycarbonate and is protected by an overspray film.

JConcepts Double Bar 1:8 Buggy Tire

JConcepts has officially released its newest 1:8 Buggy tyre, the Double Bar.  The Florida based company brought the tyre to market during the march to the 1:8 IFMAR World Championship in Spain.  Using previously unseen elements with the dual nature of the tread, the JConcepts item is an entirely different monster.  The overlapping and repeated concept is one that intends to tackle conditioned track surfaces and heavy slick groove conditions like never before.  Located in the infield of the tread, diamond patterned pins consume space, surface area, and ultimately a flexible arrangement that conforms to high-end racing conditions.   As the dual tread intersects itself, a wall provides additional side bite and stability during hard side-loads and 180-degree corners.  The soft and layered tread terminates at the edge, and it rolls off to give the tyre an easy transition for an easier driving feel.  Inside, a firmer inner carcass webbing was built into the Double Bar to take on more difficult jumping tasks, faster speed European style track layouts, and reduce the ballooning effect of racing at higher speeds.  The Double Bar arrives ready with Dirt-Tech inserts known for their durability, shape, and consistent feel in a multitude of track conditions.

Vision Racing Products N1 Performance Kit

Texas-based R/C design and manufacturing company Vision Racing Products (VRP) has released a new 2025 Performance Kit for the Agama N1 1:8 Buggy called the VRP NV.  The new performance kit completely redesigns the geometry into an even lower centre of gravity buggy.  It also simplifies and reduces weight as well.  The new configuration is needed for American style tracks, but will excel on EU tracks just the same.  In addition to keeping the lowest CG available, VRP have worked hard to make the best jumping and landing buggy too.  One very noticeable difference is the amount of grip the NV makes.  In most cases to date, VRP claim they have had the most grip of any buggy, while maintaining good turn in and cornering.  The NV does not labor in the turns due to the shocks being high like traditional buggies, and it shows.  The VRP Performance Kit offers the opportunity to have a different and unique buggy for 2025.
