Round 6 of the Southern California based Jimmy Babcock Racing League Electric Series was held last weekend at Pegasus Hobbies in Montclair. Over 180 entries made for a great day of racing that saw Brian McDuffie taking the win in the 2WD Modified Buggy class ahead of Rudy Rico in 2nd and Cody Turner who rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Arrowmax introduce a spring steel turnbuckle set for Xray’s XB4 line of 1/10th off-road buggies. Included are six 51mm and one 44mm long spring steel tie-rod as well as a suitable wrench, also made from high quality steel. The 6th round of the 2014 JBRL Electric Series took place at Pegasus Hobbies Raceway in Montclair, California. Over 180 total entries signalled that good competition was in attendance. In the Pro4 short course class Rudy Rico took the win from David Jenson and Chris Blais. The result was the same in the 1/8th electric buggy class. Rudy excelled and took the victory, this time from Carlos Arredondo, lapping 3rd placed Ryan Dunford in the process.

Available now from Team Associated are two brass bulkheads for the B5 and B5M buggy. The bulkheads increase the weight configuration possibilities, adding weight to the front for more steering, or providing chassis balancing. The direct-replacement front bulkheads, which are sold separately, come in standard 25 degrees and 30 degrees of kick-up with the latter increasing corner-entry steering.

Yeah Racing introduce this aluminium motor plate for the Axial SCX10 and AX10 crawlers. Machined from high-quality aluminium and coming blue anodised the part is stronger yet lighter than standard cast or billet aluminium parts while the machined cooling fins help to dissipate heat from the motor.

The 3rd round of the South African National Onroad Championship was held at the DMCC Raceway in Durban, KZN. Although it is Winter in South Africa at the moment Durban is known for its much warmer climate. With 9 Drivers just returning from the ETS Final in Slovakia everyone knew that it was going to be a very important event as far as points are concerned. Only a few of the returning drivers attended the event but in the end it was just as epic as if all of them were there. The tack is situated next to the highway at Southway mall, originally a gas track with long open straights and a flowing infield it has been used for electric only the last two years. Dave Wiseman and his team always make sure that the drivers have a great time when visiting their facilities.

Avid introduce these black colour wing mount buttons for 1/10th on-road and off-road vehicles. They were designed after Avid’s successful 8th off-road wing button, they feature a countersunk screw hole and the same contact surface as the 8th buttons for an improved fitment of the wing and less deformation, resulting in increased rear traction at high speeds. The buttons come as pair, they are CNC-machined from aluminium and laser-etched with the Avid “A” and are usable on most touring cars and off-road vehicles that use M3 screws to fasten the wing.

Xray introduce two new main gears for the XB4 line of buggies. The 78T and 75T gears complement the already existing range of (larger) gears to help with gearing for stock racing classes where smaller main gears are needed to achieve a proper gearing. The gears moulded from a high quality composite material for best possible durability while being light of weight at the same time. Moulded-in size markings help with identification even when the gears are installed in the chassis.
