Serpent 811 Cobra EP buggy 2.0 buggy

Serpent 811 Cobra EP buggy 2.0 buggy

Serpent have released the new 811 Cobra EP buggy 2.0, a new development realized following a full year of racing across the globe, listening to feedback from many drivers and dedicated testing on many different surfaces. The feedback from the drivers on the Cobra E-Buggy in general was very good but according to some drivers the car could benefit from a more responsive rear end, combined with a bit more steering, which would bring the Cobra to the highest performance level. The 2.0 features new wider rear end, differently positioned new rear shock towers along with other small changes to the rear of the car.

JConcepts Pressure Points for 1/10th buggy

JConcepts Pressure Points for 1/10th buggy

JConcepts’ new Pressure Points are the latest low-height tread option specifically designed to tame high-speed courses with either wet or blue groove traction conditions. The design starts as an angular, low pin design as a carryover from the successful Bar Codes front tire line-up. The small “points” combined with “lower case” Y elements developed on the original Bar Codes V1 rear tire provide the ultimate in surface area “pressure” penetration and tack. The inner carcass and side-wall has built-in ribbing which limits carcass collapse and increases support on the outside during hard cornering and driving. The new inner ribbing, combined with the included JConcepts insert, is a perfect match to provide the ultimate in support, traction and consistency. The Pressure Points are designed to be driven hard while maintaining the grip necessary to drive at the limit. The edges of the side-walls have been carefully rolled for a smooth transition during cornering which limits traction-roll characteristics and allows the driver control during the all important tipping point every driver has experienced. Available in blue, green and gold compounds.

Xray XB9 high torque clutch set

Xray XB9 high torque clutch set

Xray’s new high-torque clutch set for the XB9 is an important performance upgrade. The clutch provides a smoother and more continuous transfer of power from the engine at very high RPM. The clutch engages higher in RPM range, resulting in more controllable power during acceleration, while still maintaining good handling and performance on jumps. The updated design engagement profile also gives extended clutch life. The new flywheel has smaller diameter but increased weight. Thanks to the smaller diameter the flywheel is more protected above the chassis so after huge jump there is a reduced chance for engine stoppages when the car lands on a rock or other obstacle. The increased weight of the flywheel results into more balanced operation of the engine. The new clutch shoes are smaller, lighter and designed for engagement during the entire travel of the shoe. The shoes are less sensitive to wear and as such life time is increased.

JConcepts 7″ Hi-Clearance wing

JConcepts 7" Hi-Clearance wing

JConcepts has released a 7” wide version of their popular hi-clearance wing introduced to competition during the recent Reedy Race of Champions. A slightly wider base gives the wing a larger surface area which allows more stability during low and high speeds which provide some much needed grip in tricky situations. The Hi-Clearance sections near the end plates still allow maximum suspension compression and tire expansion.
