CML Distribution introduce this 2.5° rear suspension block for the Centro C4.2 conversion kit. The wishbone mount features 0.5° less toe-in compared to the stock part for more speed on the straight and improved rotation into turns on high bite tracks. The black anodised aluminium part comes including suitable inserts for the hinge pins.

CN Development & Media introduce the Yuki Model 1/8 Yakuza SC brushless motor and speed controller combo. Included in the set is a 4-pole sensorless 3674 motor with 2150kv and a 120A rated 6S-compatible speed controller. The ESC measures 57x49x39mm, weights 150g and features a switched 6V/3A BEC system. Included in the set are also a programming card, 5.5mm gold-plated bullet-type connectors and a multi-language manual.

Serpent introduce the Cobra T-e electric conversion kit for the Cobra T nitro truggy. The set includes all parts needed to convert the nitro truck into a whisper-silent E-truggy, such as a new chassis plate, chassis braces, battery mounts, centre driveshafts, carbon shock towers and body mounts. The battery cups take all EFRA and ROAR legal batteries and allow to install taller packs as well. The set also includes the brand new bodyshell, which is a lot lower, narrower and smaller than the GP version. As usual electronics are not supplied but both buggy and truggy brushless motors fit the motor mount. For now the set is only available as conversion but Serpent may release a full kit and possibly a RTR version in 2014.

The Western Canadian Indoor Championship Series (WCICS) Season kicked off Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Racers from across Western Canada and even the US battled it out in the seven different classes. In the Awesomatix sponsored Touring Car Modified class, after 4 rounds of qualifying, Wayne Mah (Xray) set TQ ahead of Steve Soon (Serpent). It was an exciting race on a challenging track, but Wayne kept it fast and clean and took the win Sebastian Vettel style by taking the pole position, win and fastest lap, with Korgae Scales (Awesomatix) moving to second, and Peter Tozser (Associated) in 3rd. The next WCICS race will take place in Edmonton, Alberta, on October 18th.

The RB/Xray Cup took place at the SAMC club in La Motte Servolex in France. 65 drivers attended in 1/8 Buggy Open and Promo as well as 1/8 E-buggy. Friday allowed for a lot of track time but come Saturday the heaven opened its gates ruining most of the day. Fortunately the club was well prepared offering good lighting to continue running in the evening. The qualifiers and finals were run on Sunday in an electric race format with 6 minute qualification runs and three 10 minute finals. The short runs made for lots of action on the track and especially the Open class saw hard battles between Miguel Matias, Marco Baruffolo and Lorenzo Crolla. At the end the three came in in the aforementioned order handing Matias the Open class win. In Promo Tanguy Vandre took the winning honours in front of David Restani and Joel Santos. The E-buggy class saw Yannick Brozzini taking the win with Corentin Precoma and Youssef Lesbir in tow.

During this week’s International Indoor Championships in Las Vegas CRC is running what appears to be a prototype Formula chassis. The car in question features a double wishbone front suspension with lower carbon fibre A-arms and adjustable upper plastic arms. The rear motor pod looks like a redesigned 1/12 scale slider pod with the chassis and rear suspension being of the now-poplar link-type design to allow the in-line mounting of the battery pack. The French Cup for 1/10th off-road buggies took place in Nantes this past weekend. Xray driver Armand Lantheaume dominated the race by first taking TQ in the 4WD class in front of Stéphane Deroch (Xray) and Florent Jadot (Xray). He then also went on to win the A final, again with Stéphane and Florent in tow who completed the podium.
