Team Associated and LRP to work independently

Team Associated and LRP today announced jointly that Associated will no longer be selling and servicing the LRP brand in North America. Associated has supported the LRP brand in North America for over 18 years and the two brands have achieved great success with many IFMAR World Championships together during this partnership. See below for the remainder of the announcement.

With both brands expanding and their respective product lines overlapping, both sides felt the timing was right to work independently, but still continue a racing partnership. Associated will now fully focus on developing and promoting the Reedy brand in all markets. Reedy develops products in the electric motor, nitro engine, battery, charger and speed control categories. LRP will expand its presence in North America by establishing LRP America, Inc. in Southern California. LRP America will provide marketing, service, and race support for a broadened product range in North America. LRP America will begin serving North America on September 1, 2013.

Belgian touring car nationals Rd5 – Report

The fifth round of the FBA championship took place in Rucphen at the club Mac De Baanbrekers. The weather was awesome and the heat could give the drivers some issues at this fast track. In the Efra class it was Olivier Bultynck who took TQ in front of Nick Joosens and Thomas Stockman. Olivier started well in the first final and Nick tried his best to follow and put some pressure on him but Ollie was a little bit faster and could make a gap on Nick. Thomas followed the two but struggled with his car and later on also scored a DNF as the had to retire in lap 18. Meanwhile Rico Claeys who started 8th on the grid was in third place. Ollie took the win and Nick came in second with Rico taking the third spot.

Astro Winter Masters Series – Announcement

The Astro Winter Masters Series last year attracted over 100 drivers to each round and this year the organisers are looking to take things up a level with the tracks planned to be bigger and better, whilst still catering for the novice and providing sufficient challenge for the elite to try and beat the rest. Last year CML/AE cleaned up in the 2WD, 4WD & SC Truck classes so the gauntlet has been thrown down to see which manufacture/driver pairings will be crowned Astro Winter Master Series Champions 2013/14. RT MBX7 vented fibre glass brake discs

New from Reckward Tuning come these vented brake discs for the MBX7 buggy. They are made in Germany from a special fibre glass and offer improved brake power over the stock discs while the vented design minimises brake fading even in long finals. The brake rotors are white of colour and come as pair.

Yeah Racing TT-02 adjustable rear upper arms

Made for the Tamiya TT-02 is this aluminium adjustable rear upper arm set from Yeah Racing. The kit not only allows for fast and easy camber adjustment thanks to R/L thread turnbuckles but also increases durability over the stock plastic parts. Included in the set, that is also available as front end variant, are the inner and outer upper arm parts, turnbuckles and hardware.

Much More Fleta ZX optional modified & stock rotors

Much More Racing introduce a line of optional modified and stock racing rotors for the Fleta ZX series electric brushless motors. The colour-coded offerings allow the fine tuning of the motor’s characteristics by using different diameters in order to create high RPM or high torque motors with intermediate broad power band variants available also. The modified stators are 25.3mm of length and come in five variants from ‘high RPM’ 12.2mm up to ‘ultra high torque’ 13.5mm while the four 24.3mm long stock stators are ‘broad power band’ 12.3mm up to ‘ultra high torque’ 13.5mm parts.

2013 Hot Rod Hobbies Shootout – Report

When people talk about the big races of the year, there are a few that don’t get left out. These big events include events such as the Cactus Classic, the Reedy Race, ROAR Nats, and the one that just passed this weekend in Saugus, CA; the Hot Rod Hobbies Shootout. This year marked the 16th year of this great event and it was one for the books. With a new layout that begged for tight racing the track was more than anyone could ask for. This years layout included a massive triple, a 4 pack that could be could be doubled or tripled into, a high speed dog leg sweeper and a few other tricky obstacles.
