Ronnefalk holds overnight TQ in Reims

Swedish ace David Ronnefalk holds the overnight TQ at the 1:8 Offroad European Championships after he topped a second round of qualifying in Reims, France, taking his Orion powered Kyosho to the fastest time in Q3 by 4-seconds from Xray’s Renaud Savoya with Lee Martin taking his Mugen to third.  Setting the 12th fastest time, the closing heat of the day saw defending Champion Darren Bloomfield post his best round with the British driver confident he can build on that in tomorrow’s final two qualifiers.

Batlle fastest in Q2

Mugen’s Robert Batlle has TQ’d the second round of qualifying at the 1:8 Offroad European Championship, the World Champion topping the times by just 4/10ths over Q1 pace setter David Ronnefalk with 3-time former Champion Renaud Savoya completing the Top 3.  Once again defending champion Darren Bloomfield struggled, the TLR driver only able for the 38th fastest time due to ‘struggling for grip’.

Much More Multi Wheel Wrench

Much More Racing introduce the multi wheel wrench for 17mm and 23mm wheel nuts and also three and four pin nitro flywheels. The tool is completely made from high-quality aluminium and comes with a 17mm and 23mm wheel nut insert for 1/8th buggies and trucks, monster trucks and many large scale vehicle. The inserts are simply clicked into place and held by an O-ring making tool swap a breeze. Also incorporated into the handle is a dedicated flywheel holder, doing away with the need to hold the clutch with large pliers, a technique can destroy the wheel’s surface, while undoing the flywheel nut. The wrench comes black anodised and with laser-etched markings.

Oskar Fjeld wins TC Modified at Norwegian nats Rd3

The third round of the Norwegian electric touring modified national series was held at the Vulbu Raceway close to Fagernes. The track itself is spectacular with a four meter elevation change and also the weather for the event was perfect, allowing good grip and interesting racing. The good forecast also meant a lot of drivers came out for the race, making it the biggest outcome in a long time. Qualifying consist of three rounds with the best one to count followed by triple finals. First round of qualifying saw Xray driver Tom Erik Haaversen setting the best time, closely followed by Oskar Fjeld and Joakim Nicolaisen in second and third. Oskar also set a new track record in this round.

Team Kyosho’s young star David Ronnefalk has TQ’d the opening round of qualifying at the 1:8 Offroad European Championships in Reims, France,  the Swede navigating the chalk track 3-seconds faster than World Champion Robert Batlle with Xray’s Martin Bayer completing the Top 3 in a close encounter which saw the next 6 drivers covered by just 3-seconds.  For defending champion Darren Bloomfield two mistakes left him down the order with the 20th fastest time, the British driver saying he just pushed too hard.

Exotek DEX210 +8mm carbon chassis set

Exotek announce their +8mm carbon chassis kit for the Team Durango DEX210 kit. The chassis is light of weight for a more nimble response and sports slightly more flex then the alloy part for increased overall grip to take advantage of the lighter weight. Included with the 2.5mm chassis plate is a 7075 alloy nose plate for longer wear and extra strength at the chassis bend, +8mm side plate extenders and mounting hardware. Machined pockets at the rear of the chassis allows the use of LRC option suspension hangers while the increased rear end surface area maintains chassis strength for mounting of the rear suspension hanger.

The TLR 22 slotted battery bulkhead from Avid allows to run never before available battery locations on the 22 platform buggies and trucks. For racers running the shorty pack, the battery can be moved forward an additional +15mm versus a fixed position of +10mm with the TLR brand aluminium tray. This super-forward position makes the rear end more predictable as grip increases. The part comes CNC-machined from aluminium, sports laser etched markings, weights 7g and it fits any TLR 22, 22T, or 22 SCT.
