Avid Associated spring collar adapters

Avid RC introduce their new spring collar adapters for Team Associated buggies and trucks. They are designed to upgrade the current AE shocks to 12mm big bore springs. The collar adapters slide directly over the existing shock collar and secure with a set screw. Installation only takes a minute and the collars hold the springs concentric as well as allowing for easy ride height adjustments. They are CNC-machined from 6061 aluminium, include 4-40 set screws and come black anodises in packs of four collars.

Duratrax 1/10 buggy tires

Duratrax introduce their latest line of 1/10 scale off-road tires. With race-proven tread patterns such as Shotgun, Equalizer and Persuader to choose from and C2 soft and C3 super-soft compounds for front and rear wheels, the tires are ideal for many racing condition. All include suitable foam inserts and come as rubber-only or pre-mounted for many Associated, Losi or Kyosho 2WD and 4WD buggies. Also available are lightweight disc wheels in yellow or white colour.

SpeedMerchant pan car steering blocks

SpeedMerchant introduce their new pan car steering blocks for all on-road chassis with standard 1/8″ king pin. They sport the same geometry as company’s delrin blocks and are slightly lower in height than most of the available blocks for more variety in ride height and roll centre adjustments. Additionally the 4.40 ball stud is moved away from the king pin for more Ackermann options while a different axle trail takes away a bit of the twitchiness around the centre of the steering. They are designed for the use with SpeedMerchant’s machined front axles, come with 4-40 set screws and are available in black or blue anodising.

Avid RC8.2 Titanium shock pins

The newest release in Avid RC’s 1/8th scale lineup are these titanium shock pins which fit all RC8.2 and RC8.2e buggies. The parts not only shed weight and add “bling”, but also have a center-drilled locating hole to allow for easy shock length measurements.

Boss Z7 Nds-Tech tuned engine

The Boss Z7 7-port on-road engine is hand-tuned and assembled by Nds-Tech and features a coated crankcase, hand-tuned ABC liner and specially treated backplate to increase the overall performance of this 3.5cc on-road engine. Other features of the Z7 include a crankshaft with silicone insert and two Swiss-made ball bearings with the rear one being a ceramic type.

Henrik Steiner wins German Nationals qualifier

The 3rd round of the Northern Germany nitro off-road championship took place in Wolfsburg with 58 racers in attendance. Henrik Steiner racing with a Sonic V.21B 3.5cc engine took the fourth place after qualifying and stated from second place in the semi final in which he secured the pole position for the 30 minutes final. After a turbulent start Henrik could increase the gap on the field lap by lap. At the end of the race he was nearly one lap in front of the rest of the field and crossed the finishing line in first position.

Cortez & Gaio win Madeira regionals Rd3

The third round of the Madeira Island nitro and electric on-road regionals was held at the Cancela track. In the 200mm 1/10 scale nitro class Luis Cortez (Mugen Seiki/Novarossi) took TQ with former national champion Luis Angelo (Serpent/Novarossi) in third and André Gonçalves (Mugen Seiki/Novarossi) in third place. Luis was able to open a gap within the first 10 minutes of the race that he was able to keep until the end of the main final securing him the win with Luis Miguel Angelo in second and Paulo Rodrigues (Xray/Novarossi) in third place.

Durango 408 series lightweight diff ring gear

Team Durango release this lightweight 34T differential ring gear for the 408 series electric and nitro buggies. The gear is machined from a solid piece of steel and strategically lightened to reduce the weight over the stock part. Being 3g lighter means a weight saving of 16 percent per gear.
